Red Dead Redemption 2 is Somehow Steam's GOTY
I mean... I guess?
2020 is the year that just won't let up. This time, we're being told that the 2020 Game of the Year at The Steam Awards was none other than Red Dead Redemption 2. That is surprising, to say the least, when its competition for the year included games like Hades, Death Stranding, Fall Guys, and even DOOM Eternal. But it is what it is and it is a GOTY winner when all is said and done.
Do keep in mind that this game was voted on by Steam users to be their... -

The Binding of Isaac: Repentance Expansion Due in March
New year, new delays.
Here we are in 2021 and already the delay announcements are hitting. Fortunately for fans, this delay announcement is a bit on the shorter side. Developer Edmund McMillen says that despite the desire to get The Binding of Isaac: Repentance out in December 2020, he needs some extra time for polish. As such, the game won't see a release until March 31, 2021.
The expansion has been in development for roughly three years now. Maybe a three month delay... -

New S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 First-Person Teaser Trailer
Gameplay?
This isn't quite the gameplay footage you were looking for, but it is presented in the first-person perspective. That's got to count for something, right? A new teaser trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was just released. With it comes a fresh look at the Zone and the eerie atmosphere that surrounds it.
We last got a look at this title back in July during the Xbox Games Showcase event. The latest trailer shows off probably just as much as that one did but this time... -

Why Developers Should Add Gambling to Video Games
Gaming and gambling are more connected than ever before. Nevertheless, many developers still don’t add gambling to their games. We believe this is a problem and that they should do the opposite or better said the right thing. Video games can feature a full or partial online casino and related casino games which brings a few perks.
More fun
The first and the most important reason why developers should add casinos or at least matching games to their creations... -

This new movie is slated to be an origin story that focuses on the events of what looks to be the first two Resident Evil games. It is being directed by Johannes Roberts, who's credits include 47 Meters Down and Strangers: Prey at Night.

Star Citizen: Squadron 42 is Once Again Delayed
No beta, no alpha, no end in sight.
It seems as though another year will pass without so much as a new glimpse at Squadron 42, the single player component for Star Citizen from Cloud Imperium Games. CIG showed off its revised roadmap last week and with it came a full deletion of any Squadron 42 beta.
Chris Roberts, the founder of CIG and Star Citizen creator, told donators that they shouldn't expect to see a release date for the game anytime soon. In fact, the last time... -

Ways Gaming and Gambling Are Connected
Gaming and gambling are very similar, so similar that the industry is using these two terms interchangeably on many occasions. However, they have one big difference—gaming relies on skill, while gambling relies on chance. But how similar these activities really are?
History of gambling and gaming
In the past, video games didn’t contain any elements of gambling. People played games for fun and not for prizes and bonuses. However, times are changing,... -

Steam's Best Selling Games of 2020
Checking out the year's top 100 games on Steam.
2020 has sucked all kinds of ass. You know it, I know it, people who haven't even been born yet will eventually know it. If there's one thing that made the year a little more bearable it's the fact that we probably gamed a lot more than usual thanks to, you know, everything.
Some of that is reflected in Valve's end of the year "Best Of" list for Steam. With gaming still being big in 2020, here are just a few of... -

Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix Addresses Save File Size Issue
Duplicate items to your heart's desire.
The 1.06 update for Cyberpunk 2077 rolled out less than a day ago now. With it comes just a couple of fixes. One of the fixes addresses the issue of save files hitting an 8MB limit which would then cause the save to become corrupt.
It seems as though this issue was only prevalent on the PC as this fix is listed as "PC specific" in the short changelog. There is also one console specific change and one more generalized fix... -

That's a lot of time to play.

Usually, Overwatch is only free for a weekend or so but this is almost two weeks of freebie here. The Overwatch free trial offers full access to the game. There are no limitations... -
