Preview: The Anacrusis Early Access Release

What to expect from this Early Access release of the latest four-player cooperative shooter.

Stray Bombay has been hard at work developing what could be the next true successor to Left 4 Dead with their upcoming cooperative PvE title, The Anacrusis. While I'm sure they want to avoid those sorts of direct comparisons, it is a little difficult to avoid them given how much of the same DNA is shared between the two franchises. Hell, one of Stray Bombay's founders, Chet Faliszek, used to...

DICE Removes Battlefield 2042 Rush Mode from Portal

This comes as the player count begins to hit all-time lows.

Prior to going on their holiday break, DICE added in a Battlefield 2042 Rush mode to Battlefield Portal. It proved to be a fairly popular mode, at least as far as Portal modes are concerned. It was the much enjoyed Rush mode but played out across the Battlefield 2042 maps, something that just isn't possible in the main game. DICE kept it up longer than most other modes and fans seemed to be pleased.

    Unfortunately,...

Microsoft Announces the Games with Gold for January 2022

Starting off the new year with a, uh, well... they're free at least.

Microsoft has announced their Games with Gold "free" games for January 2022 already. I assume this early announcement is due to those silly things like Christmas and New Years coming up at a rapid rate.

These games will start to be available starting on January 1, 2022. The games include NeuroVoider, Aground, Radiant Silvergun, and Space Invaders Infinity Gene. As always, these games are "free"...

Fix Coming for Halo Infinite Quick Resume Bug

343 Industries is aware of the issue and a fix is coming.

There currently exists a bug with Halo Infinite's newly released campaign that seems to impact all players on the Xbox Series X|S. This bug centers around the console's quick resume feature. Specifically, those that make use of quick resume may find that multiplayer cosmetics that are earned through the campaign may find that they are not showing up in their inventories.

You Won't be Able to Replay Halo Infinite's Campaign Missions at Launch

This feature will be added later on.

A series mainstay for the Halo franchise is the ability to replay campaign missions. This is yet another of the major franchise features that will be missing when the game launches this Wednesday, December 8.

The lack of mission replays joins other missing features such as Forge mode and campaign co-op that will be absent from the game's launch. Much like Forge and co-op, 343 Industries says that the ability to replay campaign missions...

More Permanent Playlists are Coming to Halo Infinite Multiplayer

Some franchise mainstays will be returning to the game.

Halo Infinite's multiplayer is quite good, but it's certainly not without some faults. One of those issues that isn't the Battle Pass progression system, is the fact that the game shipped with only a few game modes. Fans have been more than eager for the return of modes like free-for-all (FFA) and SWAT.

Thankfully, those modes and more will be coming to Halo Infinite. A Twitter post by 343 Industries community manager...

Halo Infinite Battle Pass Progression is Top Priority for Team

343 Industries will continue to work on the painfully slow Battle Pass progression system.

Jerry Hook, the head of design at 343 Industries says that the team will continue to work on the rather terrible progression system present in Halo Infinite's multiplayer. With developers returning to work this week after a holiday break, Hook says that working on fixing Battle Pass progression "will be top of my list with the team."
