Rumor: Casting Underway for Bully 2?

According to a rumor kicked off by Rockstar Intel, casting calls have gone out for Bully 2. We're not talking about just one or two casting calls, Rockstar Intel says that no fewer than seven casting calls for motion capture acting roles have been made.

Specifically, they say that these seven casting calls have been for a "new unannounced video game title with a leading UK games developer, shooting at Pinewood Studios." The casting calls were mainly for teenage and young roles. There was also a warning provided with the casting calls along with some very light details.

Kotaku Rumor Suggests Microsoft is Close to Buying Obsidian

A new rumor popped up about an hour ago courtesy of Kotaku and Jason Schreier that Microsoft is close to purchasing Obsidian. I don't normally post a bunch of rumors on the site unless there is good reason for it and the reason I'm posting this one is because Jason Schreier has a great track record on this sort of stuff. So while it's not confirmed or announced anywhere, there is probably a good chance that the rumor being true of Microsoft being close to buying Obsidian.

Kotaku's sources say that the deal is "90%" finished, while another suggested that the deal was more of a matter of "when" and not "if."

Name Changes Coming Soon to PlayStation Network?

A new report from Kotaku says that Sony is gearing up to finally allow users to change their PlayStation Network names. This has been something that PSN users have requested for ages but it allegedly hasn't been possible.

It's long been rumored that name changes haven't been possible because Sony's database was so jumbled and held together with gum and strings that it made it near impossible to allow for name changes. Well, it seems as though Sony has gotten around to fixing that and perhaps even included some of the needed groundwork in the recent 6.0 firmware update. Now, some developers are saying that name changes are coming ...

  • Leaked Nintendo E3 2018 Announcements Include Fortnite, Overcooked! 2, Paladins, and More

A new E3 2018 leak hit this evening, and this time it wasn't due to Walmart. The latest seems to have originated via 4chan and confirmed by user AAMARMO on Twitter. The image is of a document that is said to be part of the E3 showroom display planning.

It includes the logo and marketing materials for games like Fortnite, Paladins, Dragon Ball FighterZ, FIFA 19, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, Killer Queen Black (unannounced), and Overcooked! 2 (also unannounced). This leak does have some substance to back it up beyond the original source and the aforementioned Twitter confirmation. ...

  • Rumors: Assassin's Creed Odyssey Details - Set in Ancient Greece, Dialogue Options, and More

The next Assassin's Creed game was apparently leaked via a key chain (seen above). It looks like it will be called Assassin's Creed Odyssey and will take place in ancient Greece. A new report from JeuxVideoLive, and confirmed by Kotaku's own sources, says that Odyssey will serve as a sequel to last year's Assassin's Creed Origins.

According to Kotaku's sources, the game is indeed set in Greece. It will add in dialogue options for the first time in the franchise, making the game a bit more Witcher like than ever before. You will also get to play as either a male or female protagonist. Sadly, these aren't Bayek or...

Battlefield V Live Reveal on May 23

Earlier today Battlefield V was officially announced. I mean, we kind of knew there was a new Battlefield game coming, though the name being confirmed as "Battlefield V" is noteworthy.

I say it's noteworthy because an earlier rumor said that the name would be Battlefield V, which has now been confirmed. The rumor also said that the game would take place during WWII. That has yet to be confirmed. However, given that the leaked image in the rumor utilizes the same color scheme as the official announcement, seen above, it does lend a fair bit of support to the WWII claim. Anyway, back to the news of the day. Though there isn't...

  • Rumor: Retro Studios Making Star Fox: Grand Prix Racing Game; Other Projects Cancelled

New reports out of Kotaku and Eurogamer suggest that Retro Studios is busy working on a Star Fox: Grand Prix racing game. That's the good news for the studio that previously brought you the Metroid Prime trilogy. The bad news is that their other projects may be cancelled.

These leaks originally hit Reddit and 4chan this weekend but have been reported by a number of additional sites. The Reddit details were first brought to light by user DasVergeben, whom apparently has a rather spotty record when it comes to these types of rumors. He says that the game is a racing game that is "like Diddy Kong Racing mixed with F-Zero."...

Rumor: New Leak Reveals Microsoft's New Xbox Controller for Accessibility

According to a leaked image obtained by Windows Central, Microsoft is about ready to reveal their new Xbox controller for accessibility. The controller is white with a glossy d-pad, the usual Xbox navigation buttons, and two oversized A and B pads. The controller, set to be revealed between now and E3 2018, seems to be designed to help those who favor haptic feedback rather than using their sight. It is my belief that these pads will function much like the Steam Controller and will allow the user to fully program those two large pads in any way that they want to. It also features a 3-light LED that could be used to ...
