    Destiny 2 is Ditching Sunsetting

    Sunsetting sunsetting as it were.

Bungie just announced today that they are going to do away with one of their most controversial ideas: Sunsetting. Starting with Season 14, all new weapons will no longer have a "limited-time use" stamp placed on them. They can be upgraded indefinitely.

This change is one of many sweeping changes the studio is making for the upcoming Seasons of content. The latest State of Destiny post on Bungie.net was penned by assistant game...

Bungie Says They Won't Expand the Destiny 2 Cosmodrome

It only took them a few months to tell players.

Last year, Bungie began the process of bringing back Destiny's OG Cosmodrome location in Destiny 2. This was being done ever since they started their whole, largely failed "Destiny Content Vault" idea that would see old content occasionally cycled in and out of the game. It wasn't the complete area but it was enough to provide an area for a bit of nostalgia and for onboarding new players. They said that they would bring over...

Crossplay Coming to Destiny 2 in 2021

    The latest from Bungie.

In a letter to players, Destiny 2 assistant game director Joe Blackburn, provided a ton of details on what the company is looking to address in the upcoming Seasons of content. Among some of the many quality of life changes and content changes is the fact that crossplay will be coming to the game in 2021.

This will allow players across all platforms to play together in the game's PvP or PvE game modes.

    In addition to this announcement...

Bungie Nerfs Warlocks in First Major Destiny 2: Beyond Light Patch

I'm sure it was fun while it lasted.

Last week, Bungie released Destiny 2: Beyond Light to some content starved fans and with it came a new power, Stasis. With Stasis, players can freeze and slow enemies in both PvE and PvP modes and frankly, it's been a blast. The problem is that for the Warlock class, they may have been a bit too powerful, especially in the game's various PvP modes. Bungie definitely heard the complaints and today's update aims to reign in some of these overpowered...

I'll include that below the launch trailer at the bottom of this post. Please note that the ViDoc includes MASSIVE spoilers for current and upcoming...

Destiny 2: Beyond Light - Europa Trailer

    Baby, it's cold outside.

A new trailer is out today for the upcoming Destiny 2 expansion, Beyond Light. In this trailer we get a better look at the frozen landscapes of Europa, where most of the next season will be taking place. Or rather, that's what we assume to be the case for next season.

The Destiny 2 site has been updated with a bit more about Europa, including a map of "The Frozen Frontier." I suggest you bundle up, because it's gonna be a chilly reception....

Destiny 2 Coming to Xbox Game Pass in September

Bungie and Microsoft are teaming up once more.

The band is somewhat back together. Bungie is teaming up with Microsoft to bring Destiny 2 to Xbox Game Pass this Fall. Come September, Game Pass subscribers will get access to the standard edition of Destiny 2, which gives base level access to most Destiny 2 content including Forsaken and Shadowkeep. Access to Beyond Light will arrive when that expansion drops on November 10, 2020.

Bungie announces a move from September to November.

Just this past June, Bungie was all about promoting their next couple of years worth of content for Destiny 2. Today, they have already postponed part of those plans. Specifically, Bungie has delayed the release of Destiny 2: Beyond Light, their next major upcoming expansion that was originally slated to be released on September 22, 2020.

Now, Bungie has delayed that release date by almost two months to November 10, 2020....

The new expansions will see some content cycled in and out of existence.

As part of their pre-release stream for the current Season of Arrivals for Destiny 2, Bungie also let the cat out of the bag for the next three expansions. That's right, there are three expansions already announced for Destiny 2 that will be released through to 2022. It all begins this September with Destiny 2: Beyond Light.

Destiny 2's Season Ending Live Event was Incredibly Disappointing

    You had to be there.

As of 2:31PM (ET) on Saturday, June 6, the current season of Destiny 2 effectively came to an end. Season of the Worthy wrapped up much the same way as the rest of the Season left its fans: Not with thunderous applause, but with shrugs and sighs. The plan was to end the season today at 1PM (ET) with a live event. Live events in games seem to be all the rage these days, especially for those who pay any attention at all to powerhouses like Fortnite.

Rockstar, CD Projekt Red, and EA are Working from Home due to Covid-19

    Development continues at safe distances.

Multiple game studios are now requiring employees to work from home due to the still ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Maybe you've heard of it? Teams that are usually busy working together on whatever projects at their respective studios have been told to work from home when possible.

Some of the studios that have taken to working from home include Rockstar Games, CD Projekt Red, and even EA. For the employees at these studios, this means...

  • Bungie Again Pulls a 'We're Listening' to Complaints About Latest Destiny 2 Season

Season of the Worthy has angered Destiny 2 fans in record time.

Destiny 2: Season of the Worthy launched on Tuesday. It took maybe 45 minutes after the new Season's release for the first complaint thread to pop up on Reddit. It usually takes a few days, usually a couple of weeks, before the honeymoon phase ends for a new Destiny 2 content drop. This took 45 minutes and that's a generous estimate. It's not even "just a Reddit thing" either. I've seen the same sentiments and...
