Counter-Strike is Now Free-to-Play, Adds Battle Royale Mode
Valve just rolled out one of the biggest updates for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. It may not be the largest in terms of file size, but in terms of scope? Yeah, it's pretty big for a game like Counter-Strike. "What could it possibly be," you wonder?

The Halloween content for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is here. Valve released an update for CS:GO today that turns all players into ghosts when they die. These apparitions can be seen by other ghosts in the world, apply graffiti in the world, and more.
I'm also hearing the chickens are ready for some tricks and/or treats.

Tonight's update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive includes the addition of two new community made maps. These maps, Biome and Sub-Zero, have been added to Casual matchmaking's Group Sigma tonight.
In addition, Austria has been made available in Competitive matchmaking and moved into Group Delta in Casual. Canals gets the bump out of Competitive. Shipped and Insertion have been removed from all official matchmaking.

Valve Discusses Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Negev Changes
In a blog posting that went up last night, Valve started to detail some of the changes and thoughts they have in mind for the Negev in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Some of these changes are already being tested as part of a beta update for CS:GO but they say that the changes, barring any issues, will go live soon. Their main focus right now is making the Negev a weapon that can provide adequate suppression in the heat of a battle.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Update for February 28, 2018
A new update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was released tonight (February 28, 2018 technically). This update makes tracers more reliable in first-person view. In addition, viewmodels now react to weapon recoil and aimpunch.

CS:GO Update for January 10: Panorama UI for CS:GO is... Still Not Here
The moment you're all waiting for is finally here. The moment where you are again disappointed at the lack of the Panorama UI for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Oh well, you should be used to this kind of disappointment by now. At least now you know how your parents feel.
However, today's update instead ends the Holiday Cheer event, and provides a couple of minor changes.
