'Absolute Majority' of Metro Exodus Sales Were on Consoles

THQ Nordic founder tries to avoid talking about Epic Games Store sales figures.

Lars Wingefors, THQ Nordic's CEO and founder, seemed rather reserved when talking about the sales figures for some of THQ's most publicized releases this past year. Specifically, he shied away from talking specifics when it comes to PC sales of games like Metro Exodus and outright ignores another question regarding sales of Satisfactory.

A lot of this information came courtesy of the latest earnings call for the company.

According to those who listened in on the call, Wingefors...

New Gameplay Trailer for The Sinking City

    Witness the madness.

A new gameplay trailer is out today for The Sinking City. As we've talked about already, The Sinking City is a game smothered in Cthulhu mythos and wrapped in plenty of detective focused action. It's being developed by Frogwares and published by Bigben. There was another gameplay video, released just this past month, that focused more on the investigation side of things.

The Sinking City is currently slated to be released on June 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store. ...

Observation places you in the "shoes" of an artificial intelligence named S.A.M. aboard a space station. As S.A.M., players will control the station's various systems, cameras, and tools to try to help out Dr. Emma Fisher after a mysterious event. This event did things to the station, including making the rest of the crew vanish. It has also had some sort...

PSA: Epic Mega Sale Underway Until June 13

Sale includes free games every week and pre-order discounts.

The Epic Games Store just kicked off its own multi-week long sale today. This sale finds discounts of up to 75% off of some titles. It also includes discounts on pre-orders for games like John Wick Hex, Borderlands 3, or Control. Just to name a few.

The way this sale works is this: Some games that are already out are on sale for up to 75% off. Other games that don't have a percentage off will be at least $10 off if their regular price is $14.99 and higher. On top of this, there will be a free game given out...

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Gameplay Footage and Epic Exclusive Details

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick says exclusives "will be rare."

Another Take-Two title is confirmed to be a timed exclusive to the Epic Games Store. Previously, the Take-Two Private Division label published title, The Outer Worlds, is a one year timed exclusive to the Epic Games Store. Yes, it's also out on the same day to the Microsoft Store because Obsidian is now owned by MS and there are many business issues at work. After that point, it will be sold on Steam and other digital storefronts.

Another Take-Two published title that goes by the name of Borderlands...

The event, which takes place at 10AM (PT) on June 10, 2019 is sponsored by the Epic Games Store.

    Ubisoft Announces Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Looks like the leak, along with Jon Bernthal, was true.

Yesterday, a little leak revealed that the next Ghost Recon game was going to be called Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Today, Ubisoft announced the name of their next Ghost Recon game. It's called Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Surprise!

Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be released on October 4 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. I'm assuming the PC release will be done through Uplay and the Epic Games Store only.

It also apparently confirms that the guy from the latest Ghost Recon Wildlands DLC that looks like Jon...

Review: Close to the Sun (PC)

Come out to the Helios, we'll get together, have a few laughs…

Close to the Sun is the latest offering in the genre mashup that blends horror with a story driven narrative experience. It is developed by Storm in a Teacup and published by Wired Productions. This particular review focuses on the PC version of the game, but will be coming later this year to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It should be noted that the PC release looks to be an Epic Games Store exclusive. I maybe wouldn't hold my breath on seeing it appear on other PC storefronts, at least not any time soon....

World War Z to Receive Post-Launch Content as Game Sales Surpass 1 Million

World War Z is the latest, and some may say greatest, co-op shooter that places you and three of your friends against massive hordes of the living dead.

World War Z has also apparently sold quite well, having sold over 1 million units in its first week of being on sale on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store (yep, it's an affiliate link). As such, you may expect that the game will be receiving some fresh content in the months ahead and you'd be correct.

New content is in the works and the first drop arrives this month (May). This first...

Close to the Sun Brings Some Electrifying Horror to PC Today

Publisher Wired Productions and Italian development studio, Storm in a Teacup, have released Close to the Sun on the Epic Games Store. It will be coming later this year for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Close to the Sun is a first-person horror adventure with plenty of art deco design, a massive ship, and Nikola Tesla. As mentioned, it's available right now only on the Epic Games Store for $29.99 (USD). And no, it's not like BioShock. They want to make that very, very clear. It's just that they both have a whole lot of that art deco thing going on.

Having played this one for review, I will say that the review will be coming very shortly for Close to the Sun. The review codes were sent out only earlier this week and I really don't like to rush through games I play, especially for review. ...

    Epic Buys Rocket League Studio

Psyonix, the studio behind one of 2015's biggest games, Rocket League, was just purchased by Epic Games. The acquisition is pretty much set in wet cement at this point, with the final crossing of the t's coming later this Spring.

Yes, this also means that Rocket League is leaving Steam and is now an Epic Games Store exclusive. Those are the long term plans. In the short term, nothing much will change at all. Psyonix gave a rundown of what they say will happen with the game in the coming months.

So, it will be on Steam still or...? Nope. According...

A new trailer accompanies word that The Sinking City is now available for pre-order.

BigBen and Frogwares Studio released a new gameplay video today showing off "A Delicate Matter," a mission within The Sinking City. The focus of this one is on how the main investigation mechanics work within the game.

We've had a lot of coverage on this game over the previous few months, so be sure to check that out if you'd like some more details. Pre-orders are available now with the game looking to be released on June 27 on the PC via the Epic Games Store (affiliate...

World War Z Boasts Over 1 Million Units Sold Across All Platforms

In its first week of launch, Saber Interactive's World War Z has sold over 1 million units. This sales milestone is cumulative across all of its available platforms, which currently include PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store. Curiously, there are no solid figures that break down exactly how many units per platform were sold. However, Saber Interactive does seem to praise the "tremendous support of the Epic Games Store."

As we have talked about numerous times, World War Z is a co-op focused, third-person shooter in the same vein as Left 4 De...

World War Z the Game Based on the Movie Based on the Book is Out Today

If you have a hunger for brains some co-op zombie shooting, you may be happy to hear that World War Z is out today. This four-player co-op title will probably invoke some feelings of deja vu as you take on a ton of undead swarms as you make your way through each level. What I'm trying to say is that fans of Left 4 Dead will probably want to check this one out.

The game is, of course, inspired by the movie of the same name, which is inspired by the book of the same name. World War Z retails for $39.99 (USD) on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. it is also available for the PC exclusively...
