John Wick Hex Releasing this May on PlayStation 4

The once PC exclusive is getting a console port.

Bithell Games, Lionsgate, and publisher Good Shepherd Entertainment announced today that John Wick Hex is finally coming to the console world on May 5. Specifically, the game that is still currently an Epic Games Store exclusive (affiliate link) on PC will hit the PlayStation 4 in May. There is no word on a release on any other platforms such as Xbox, Switch, or even a broader PC release.

    Developer Bithell Games teamed up...

Get World War Z for Free for a Limited Time

Great game at a great price.

For a limited time, you are able to acquire one of the games I considered to be one of the best games released in 2019 for absolutely free. Through the next week until April 2, you can get World War Z for free through the Epic Games Store (affiliate link, but it's free so...?).

World War Z is a co-op shooter developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive. It is inspired by the movie of the same name, which itself is...

Epic Games Signs Publishing Deal with Remedy, Playdead, and gen DESIGN

A step up from the typical moneyhatting approach.

Epic Games announced today that they have entered into a new multiplatform publishing deal with three different developers. These developers include gen DESIGN (The Last Guardian), Playdead (Limbo, Inside), and Remedy Entertainment (Control, Alan Wake).

These partnerships are a bit unlike other recent Epic deals. Instead of spending a load of money to pull nearly complete games off of other platforms, they will actually...

Gabe Newell Talks Epic Games Store, Dislikes the 'Apple Model' of Business

    👀

Valve's Gabe Newell hasn't said too much about the new digital retailer on the market, otherwise known as the Epic Games Store. In an upcoming interview with Edge magazine's Alex Spencer (issue 334), Newell opened up about a number of hot button subjects such as Half-Life: Alyx, the future of VR, and how he views "competition" from the Epic Games Store.

Spencer asked Newell whether or not the competition from the Epic Games Store has affected Valve's own approach...

Review: Zombie Army 4: Dead War

Killing Nazi zombies is still a ton of fun.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a game that is all about killing Nazi zombies. There is no deep, hidden meaning to be found here. There is no subtle nuance about whether or not "we're the baddies." It's just good, messy, Nazi zombie killing fun. Zombie Army 4 does not try to reinvent the genre. It still hangs onto the idea of four-players going up against plenty of zombies. It still contains explicit slow-motion kills. If anything, Zombie...

Respawn Rushed the Release of Jedi Fallen Order to Hit Holiday Release Window

Bugs and performance issues be damned.

A new report from USGamer says that Respawn Entertainment made the decision to rush the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in order to meet the holiday 2019 release window. This came at the risk of shipping a game that had a fair number of bugs and performance issues that, given more development time, may have never been seen by the public. At release, most reviews were overall positive about the game but nearly all of them noted a not insignificant...

New Shenmue III 'Story Quest Pack' DLC Arrives February 18

More story for those that just can't get enough.

The overarching story in the Shenmue franchise may not be completed for a little while still. Heck, it may not ever be completed since it seems the fate of this franchise perpetually hangs by a thread.

Shenmue III only took players to maybe Chapter 8 or 9 of a planned 11 chapter story. If nothing else, fans should be thankful that series creator Yu Suzuki scaled back the scope of the franchise. It was initially slated to...

Metro Exodus is Back on Steam and at 40% Off

    525,600 minutes...

Last night, perhaps when you were snuggled up under your blankets, a little miracle happened. It was in the midnight hour (ET) when Metro Exodus returned to being sold on Steam. Normally, this isn't quite the monumental occasion, but it certainly is in the case of Metro Exodus.

It was Metro Exodus that really kicked off the season of the Epic Games Store exclusive. This was a period in which a fair number of games that were slated to be released on Steam,...

Metro Exodus Returns to Steam on February 15

Has it really been a year already?

On January 28, 2019, publisher Deep Silver announced that Metro Exodus would be a timed-exclusive on the Epic Games Store (affiliate link). In the here and now, this is a fairly common pile of crap that we're used to seeing and experiencing. At that time, however, it was the early days of these sorts of announcements. Outrage was palpable. Tempers were on edge. And so on and so forth with the cliches.

    Metro Exodus would be exclusively...
