Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Announced, Pre-orders Available Now

After multiple weeks and a few months of teases, including a long running ARG surrounding a dating app called Tinder, we now have an official announcement of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. Paradox Interactive made the big reveal just moments ago via a GDC party. The party was "supposed" to be for a new Tinder reveal but thanks to some unintentionally cheesy live-action role playing, it turned out to be a big reveal for Bloodlines 2.

This is a direct sequel to the previous title that came out back in 2004 on the very same day that Half-Life 2 was released....

  • The Outer Worlds, Remedy's Control, Detroit: Become Human, and More Announced as Epic Games Store Timed Exclusives

As part of today's GDC presentation, Epic Games announced a number of timed exclusives that are coming first to the Epic Games Store. Among these games are The Outer Worlds, Control from Remedy Entertainment, and even some PlayStation 4 exclusives like Detroit: Become Human from Quantic Dream.

Some of these titles, such as The Outer Worlds, will also appear on the Microsoft Store for Windows 10. I guess this just lends more confirmation that Epic is less about purchasing exclusives and more about simply paying companies to keep their games off of Steam. Consumers should not...

This final episode will launch digitally for the PC via the Epic Games Store, along with the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

A physical boxed release of The Walking Dead: The Final Season, which includes all four...

    The Division 2 Launch Trailer

With Tom Clancy's The Division 2 coming out in just 10 days (March 15, 2019), it seems like a wholly appropriate time for a launch trailer. On March 15th, The Division 2 will take PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players to our nation's capital, Washington, D.C.

You can pick up The Division 2 for the PC from either the Epic Games Store (affiliate link) or from the Ubisoft Store. As it stands, The Division 2 is sadly not available through Steam. ...

    Fortnite Season 8 Promotes Piracy

The eighth season of content for Fortnite went live earlier today. Get your sails ready, your peg leg waxed up, and your hook sharpened because Fortnite Season 8 is all about the pirates life for me.

But wait, there's more! Who is a pirate's greatest nemesis? If you answered scurvy, you'd be wrong! It's ninjas! Unlike some ninjas, these probably don't have blue hair. I guess Epic is trying to pull back in that Sea of Thieves crowd on Twitch? There's also some stuff about a giant volcano, a freed Prisoner, treasure, cannons, and Volcanic Vents that aid in travel.

Pre-order The Division 2 and Get a Free Game from Ubisoft

This is a nice little thing that Ubisoft is doing for The Division 2 pre-orders. If you pre-order the PC version of the game, you can get one of three free games at no extra charge. Yes, saying "free game at no extra charge" is redundant.

The games being offered are Watch Dogs 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Far Cry Primal. Here are the details about this deal. ...

Metro Exodus Preload Available on Steam but Not on Epic Games Store

Goodness, this launch of Metro Exodus has been a bit wild. The other day we saw from Deep Silver's technical support that there wouldn't be any preload of the game through Steam. The email response from Deep Silver literally said that they expect to see the most traffic going to the Epic Games Store version of the game.

So, we assumed that meant there would instead be a preload period on the Epic Games Store, right? Well, no. We were wrong. To be fair, that response from Deep Silver was also wrong.

There will not be a preload of Metro Exodus of the Epic Games...

World War Z Release Date Set for April 16

We've been seeing a lot of media these past few months for the upcoming World War Z from Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive. The problem was, we didn't really have any sort of release date outside of a vague "2019" window.

Today, we were finally given a release date. That date is April 16, 2019 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders are now open for your platform of choice. Plus, all pre-orders will get a "free" Lobo Weapon Pack. This in-game loot drop includes golden skins for three weapons: ARK-103 assault...

    Metro Exodus 'Artyom's Nightmare' Trailer

Look, I cannot recall if I already posted this trailer or not. Chances are, I probably missed this last week when it actually came out. However, we're in the here and now and I can't just go and alter history, so I'm posting it for you today. This here is a new trailer for Metro Exodus. If you already watched it, then it's obviously not new, but do spare me the semantics.

4A Games and Deep Silver call this one "Artyom's Nightmare" and it is a CGI animated short. It serves as a "dream-like prologue to the events of Metro Exodus."

    The game itself...

New World War Z Trailer Shows Off PvPvZ Multiplayer Gameplay

A new trailer for the upcoming World War Z game shows off some PvPvZ multiplayer action. Get it? Z? Zombies? Clever.

This new trailer does actually show off what parts of the game will be like. Though the core game is still co-op against the zeds, there are some competitive modes that see groups of four going up against another group of four players. Of course, the big wildcard in this is the always present swarm of undead that tends not to pick sides in this competitive battle. They're an equal-opportunity opponent. ...

Final 'Making of' Video for Metro Exodus Released

The final video for the "Making of" series for Metro Exodus was released today from Deep Silver and 4A Games. This final episode is the last of the three-part series that explored some of the development process and ideas that went into making the upcoming FPS.

Metro Exodus will be released on February 15, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on PC via the Epic Games Store (affiliate link; non-affiliate link here). ...

Metro Exodus 'Undiscovered' Trailer Shows Us the Train Life

Deep Silver and 4A Games have released an all-new trailer to get your engine pumping full steam ahead for Metro Exodus. Today's new trailer, Undiscovered, provides us a general gameplay overview of what life is like living on a train.

The video aims to welcome in those that are unfamiliar with the world of Metro. As always, Metro Exodus is slated to be released on February 15 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via the Epic Games Store (non-affiliate link here). ...

Subnautica: Below Zero Now Available on Early Access

Subnautica: Below Zero has been released into Early Access today on the Epic Games Store (non-affiliate link here), through Discord, and on Steam. The game is set one year after the events in the original Subnautica. This time, the (mostly) underwater exploration takes place near an alien research station on Planet 4546B.

This game is very much the definition of "Early Access" in that the release lacks content and is very buggy. Those who went through the long stretch of Subnautica development probably already know what to expect here.

  • Metro Exodus is Timed Exclusive on Epic Games Store Until 2020 (Update Regarding Reduced Price)

Another third-party PC game has decided to go the "timed exclusive" route when it comes to their digital market of choice. Deep Silver and 4A Games announced today that Metro Exodus will now be a timed exclusive on the Epic Games Store. This is despite the fact that the game has been available for pre-order on Steam for quite some time now. However, at the end of today (January 28, 2019), you will no longer be able to pre-purchase the game through Steam.

The studios did say that all of those existing pre-orders for the game will still be honored. If you purchased...

The Division 2 - New Story Trailer and Dark Zone PvP Reveal

There was some new information dumped today from Ubisoft for their upcoming action title, Tom Clancy's The Division 2. As part of this new information, we learn that the game will feature not one but three separate Dark Zone areas where players can get their PvPvE fix.

In the first game, the Dark Zone was a single area with multiple difficulty zones. It sliced the game into two separate areas and has been home to all sorts of door camping jerks looking to ruin your day. In The Division 2, there will now be a Dark Zone East, a Dark Zone South, and a Dark Zone West. Each of...
