Xbox Games with Gold for June 2022

    Presumably an $85 value here.

As Game Pass continues to be one of the best deals in gaming, Xbox Live Gold continues to spiral downwards. Well, at least as far as the "free" monthly Game Pass titles are concerned. The games for June 2022 were revealed by Xbox Wire and while they total nearly $85 if purchased separately, you may not personally see the same value here.

There are again four games being offered in June. They are all presumably playable on Xbox One...

There are sections there where you can explore the OG Xbox, Xbox 360, Halo, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X|S. However, one of the more personalized sections is a virtual museum that is all about you.

This event will celebrate 20 years of the Xbox brand being around. It's not really clear what Microsoft will show during this event, but we do know that they won't be showing off any new games at least.

The company says specifically that "we won't show any new games." Just so we're totally...

Cancelled Xbox 360 Remake of GoldenEye is Now Playable on PC

13 years later a scrapped remake resurfaces.

In 2008, there existed some plans to remake GoldenEye for the Xbox 360 Live Arcade. These plans were ultimately scrapped after getting entangled in disputes over the rights to the game and the IP. Now, in the glorious year that is 2021, a build of the game is now playable all thanks to the wonders of emulation on the PC.

Two hours of the game were uploaded to YouTube just this past week. The uploader and others said that a near-final...

We have the most recent "Ninth Generation" of consoles that just come out, which includes the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, that generation is just too new to judge just yet.

Xbox Games with Gold for November 2020

Well, it's maybe not the biggest month they've had.

The "free" games coming in November 2020's Games with Gold have been announced by Microsoft. Given that the new consoles are launching in just a couple of weeks, you would expect maybe something more grand for November's offerings. However... that's not really the case here, at least in my humble opinion. That's not to say that the games are bad, but the real stand out here seems to be LEGO Indiana Jones, an Xbox 360 game,...

Remedy Now Controls the Alan Wake IP

    Alan Wake teases more platforms.

Remedy Entertainment has regained the publishing rights to the Alan Wake franchise from Microsoft.

The development studio is currently working on Control, but they apparently found a bit of time to acquire the rights to the horror-action romp starring an author. The company told investors that they would earn €2.5 million on royalties for "previously released games" this fiscal year.

Alan Wake was released back in...

Todd Howard Says Bethesda will Stop Releasing Skyrim if People Stop Buying It

Bethesda loves to re-release The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I mean, it's become a joke at this point but a joke that has some basis in reality. For instance, we have Skyrim available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. We have Skyrim VR available for the PlayStation 4 and PC. We have Skyrim Special Edition for Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. So, why so many Skyrim releases? It's simple: People keep buying it and people keep playing it. Bethesda's own Todd Howard talked about this ...
