Mass Effect Legendary Edition Possibly Coming in March

According to a new leak, at least.

A new leak suggests that the long-awaited remaster of the Mass Effect trilogy may now have a proper release date. EA had previously set a release window of Spring 2021 when Mass Effect Legendary Edition was announced back in November 2020.

Well, a potential leak just revealed that the game may be released in March 2021. This should narrow down the release window considerably. The leak comes from both Shopitree, a store in Singapore, along...

The Next Mass Effect Teased at The Game Awards

    Mass Effect... 4?

The final major trailer shown off last night at The Game Awards was for the next Mass Effect game that BioWare is working on. We already knew that they were working on a new Mass Effect thanks to some hot N7 Day announcements, but to see a trailer already? Well, nobody was prepared for that.

We do not have a whole lot to go on right now. However, based on the fact that we see and older Liara from the original trilogy, it stands to reason that this game...

Anthem is Finally Getting a Massive Overhaul

BioWare officially announces their plans to make major changes.

Anthem as it currently exists is hanging on by the most tenuous of threads. Despite apparently being one of 2019's top selling titles, at least according to data shared by The NPD Group, the player base is next to non-existent. It would take a significant amount of work to get players interested in the game once again, which is apparently what BioWare has been working on behind the scenes for a little while now.

A Rumor Suggests a Knights of the Old Republic Remake is in Development

It's a slow news day, so here's a rumor born from a single site.

A new rumor was fired up yesterday from cinelinx.com that says a remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is currently in the works. There might be a bit of validity behind this rumor, we aren't exactly sure ourselves. The track record of cinelinx is unknown to us, but it's a slow news day so let's roll with it.

The site claims that two independent sources have told them that Knights of the Old R...

BioWare Branding Gets a Fresh Look

    Does it look Beautiful?

Developer BioWare is looking to get a new lease on life. We already learned that the studio might be giving a drastic overhaul to Anthem and has started to work on the next Mass Effect. We also know that they're working hard on the next Dragon Age. But what about BioWare as a company? That too seems to have gotten some work put into it.

Earlier today a new visual identity was revealed for BioWare. This includes an updated branding and logo. This...

Well, it worked for Final Fantasy 14 and No Man's Sky.

As of right now, the team doesn't even know yet how this overhaul should be distributed. It seems as though BioWare is still trying to figure out if the updates should be released all at once or...

Lead Producer on Anthem, Ben Irving, Leaves BioWare

This probably isn't a good sign.

Anthem has had its fair share of disappointment since even before the game was launched back in the far off time of February 2019. Today, yet another potential black mark can be added to the books. Lead producer for Anthem, Ben Irving, announced that he is leaving BioWare for another studio.

This may not be a sign of anything, but it rarely ends up being a good sign when the lead producer on a project decides to quit and go elsewhere. BioWare...

A Cataclysm Hits Anthem, But Nobody Knew

The end came not with a bang, but a whimper.

Yesterday, BioWare and EA released the long-awaited Cataclysm update for Anthem. This had promised to be a major event in the Anthem timeline but it was met with some rather unfortunate setbacks when BioWare decided to push back nearly the entirety of their planned update release schedule for the game. The first major delay came back in April when several major features, including Cataclysm, were delayed until an undetermined time.

BioWare Breaks Silence - Launches Anthem Test Server and 1.2.0 Update

It's the first new Anthem news in over a month.

If you were to ask BioWare how games as a service (GAAS) was working out for Anthem you may be met with some anxious tugging at collars and cold sweats in response. For well over a month, the EA owned studio has been radio silent on just what in the world was going on with the game.

May mostly came and went without so much as a peep about the big Cataclysm event that was originally intended to begin this month. In fact, there...

Anthem Falls Out of Top 49 Most Played Games on Xbox

It's being beat by games that have been out for far longer.

This week, Microsoft updated their most played games section on their store. These are the most played games in the Xbox ecosystem from 1 to 49. Why 49 and not 50? How am I supposed to know? The important part here is that Anthem has now fallen off of this most played list.

The last handful of games on the list include Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Borderlands 2, Brawlhalla, and Battlefield 1. That's Battlefield...

Anthem's Dwindling Playerbase is Causing Issues with Matchmaking

Less than a week after BioWare announced an indefinite delay of most of their Anthem roadmap comes word that its dwindling player base is having some issues with proper matchmaking. Given that BioWare hasn't set a new release date for the numerous gameplay additions and improvements, the player base seems to be dying off fast enough that it's causing issues for those that are still playing.

According to a new report from Forbes, players are finding that they are unable to consistently...
