Microsoft Brought Back Xbox Design Lab

Make the controller of your dreams.

About five years ago, Microsoft introduced Xbox Design Lab. This was a special service that allowed you to design, create, and purchase your very own original Xbox Wireless Controller from Microsoft. You could have all sorts of color combinations and even have a custom engraving added.

The service went away for a little while as Microsoft prepared for the launch of the Xbox Series X|S and their new Xbox Wireless Controller. Well, with...

Microsoft to Show 'Next Generation of Windows' on June 24

It's probably just a major update for Windows 10, not a new version.

On June 24th, Microsoft will host a special event during which they will show off the "next generation of Windows."

Now, before you go freaking out and thinking that they're coming out with Windows 11 or something like that, just relax. Microsoft said a while back that Windows 10 was the last version of Windows that they will release. Yes, this could have changed in the six years since they...

Microsoft Flight Simulator Install Size Cut in Half in New Update

    That's some impressive optimization there.

Microsoft flight Simulator is a gigantic game. After all, it's a flight simulator that lets you fly literally anywhere on planet Earth. The minimum storage requirement for the game is a whopping 150GB but the installed size is often much higher than that, upwards of 170+GB in size. This probably annoys a lot of people regardless of whether of not they have monthly download caps from their ISP.

    Fortunately, the latest update to...

Starfield is Exclusive to the Xbox and PC

I mean, it's not actually confirmed as exclusive or anything but c'mon.

There have been some recent leaks of Starfield popping up on social media and compiled into a Reddit thread. They aren't terribly hard to find but they're also not terribly interesting either. This prompted some fresh discussion from GamesBeat's own Jeff Grubb.

According to Grubb, he is putting his foot down, his fist down, maybe even his whole body down and claiming that Starfield is exclusive to...

Microsoft Backtracks on Xbox Live Gold Price Increase

Microsoft heard the complaints and backtracked on their plans.

Just one day ago, Microsoft revealed their plans to increase the prices of Xbox Live Gold by as much as double their old prices in some cases. Xbox Live Gold for one month was going up by $1, three months were going up by $5, and six months would cost a whopping $60 (USD). Remember that you used to be able to get a full year of Xbox Live Gold for that price.

Well, fans were rightly upset. Very upset. And as...

First, we saw Sony offering full refunds for all copies of Cyberpunk 2077 that were sold through the PlayStation Network store. This coincided with the game being completely pulled from the PlayStation Network until an undetermined point in the future.

Just a couple of short hours ago, Microsoft followed suit with an updated refund policy change of their own for Cyberpunk 2077. The company says that they "will be expanding our existing...
