  • More Details Revealed for Nier Collaboration in Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers

    We have some additional details on what Patch 5.1 includes for Final Fantasy XIV.

    Square Enix provided the first details on what is coming with Patch 5.1 for Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers. This patch, entitled Vows of Virtue, Deeds of Cruelty will be the first major update for Final Fantasy XIV's third major expansion. This update will include the YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse alliance raid and is part of the announced collaboration with the NieR franchise that first surfaced in February 2019.

    Dragon Quest Games Coming to Nintendo Switch on September 27

    Three classic JRPGs are coming to the Nintendo Switch very soon.

    Square Enix announced today that the first three Dragon Quest games will be released on the Nintendo Switch on September 27. These classic JRPGs include Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line, and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation. All of these are going to be available via the Nintendo eShop.

    HD Remaster of First Star Ocean Game Arrives on December 5

    Pre-orders are now open for the remaster of the classic Star Ocean RPG.

    Square Enix announced today that Star Ocean First Departure R will arrive on December 5 for the Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 4. This is an HD remaster of the original Star Ocean RPG. Pre-orders, which are available now, include a PS4 Theme and digital mini soundtrack if you pre-order on the PlayStation 4. The soundtrack is actually from the Star Ocean Live 2019 concert. It does not look as though there are any pre-order bonuses for the Nintendo Switch version.
