Microsoft Cancelled a PlayStation 5 Version of Redfall

Arkane's Harvey Smith says a planned PS5 version was scrapped following Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda.

Redfall is an upcoming cooperative FPS that will have you and up to three additional friends roaming the town of Redfall slaying vampires. Redfall was announced as being exclusive for PC and Xbox platforms, which does make a lot of sense seeing as how the developer, Arkane, is owned by Bethesda and Bethesda is owned by Microsoft.

In an interview with IGN France,...

    Redfall Story Trailer

There's more to Redfall than simply slaying vampires.

If you thought that Redfall, the upcoming action title from Arkane Austin was purely about slaying vampires, you would be mistaken. Sure, there is a lot of that vampire slaying going on but there's also something a little extra going on. A little something that studios like to call "a story."

The latest trailer for Redfall shares with us information about the game's plot. That plot that seems to involve a...

    Starfield Delayed Until September

It's still going to be out before the end of the year, at least for now.

    Yep, that's a vault.

The birthday celebrations for the Fallout franchise continued today. This time, the latest is from Amazon. We've seen a lot of love this month for the games and some of the extended media, but today we were finally treated to the first ever look at the Fallout TV show that Amazon is helping to develop alongside Bethesda.

Well, it's not much. I'll tell you that right now. Amazon offered just a single screenshot from their upcoming Fallout TV show. It...

Obsidian CEO Really Wants to Make a New Fallout Game

Nothing is in development, but there is a hope!

Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart says that he would love to work on a new Fallout game if given the opportunity. When speaking with DualShockers, Urquhart responded to a question as to whether he would make a new Fallout game by saying "there's not a question." That is to say, if given the opportunity, he and Obsidian would unquestionably work on a new Fallout game.

For those who may not recall, Obsidian developed...

Throughout the month of October Bethesda will have a bunch of deals, offers, giveaways, and events that celebrate 25 years of post-apocalyptic goodness.

Old id and Bethesda Games Added to PC Game Pass

Five new Game Pass titles, or four if you ignore Battlespire.

QuakeCon 2022 began earlier today with a little welcome message from Marty Stratton. I'm sure it was great. I don't know, I didn't watch it. What I do know is that Bethesda and id Software added some classic PC titles to Game Pass today. These are in addition to three free games available now through the Microsoft Store, plus three "new" games available for sale through the Microsoft Store.

    As of earlier...

Modders are Already Working on a Starfield Patch

We all know the game will probably need this.

A group of mod makers are already coming together to begin work on a Starfield community patch. This patch aims to address the bugs in the game, despite the sci-fi RPG not coming out until the first half of 2023 at the earliest.

PCGamesN reports that early work on the Starfield Community Patch (aka: SCP) is underway and that it will be a "collective effort by mod authors and the wider player community of Starfield to fix...

    Official QuakeCon 2022 Schedule Announced

A lot of Bethesda games will be shown off, except Starfield.

Bethesda just shared their QuakeCon 2022 schedule with everyone today. There will be some Quake Pro League action, a lot of developer presentations, and plenty of Bethesda-related games shown off during the event. Before you get your hopes up too high, it seems like there won't be any Starfield presentations at QuakeCon this year.

Fallout 76 Returns to Pittsburgh in Next Major Content Update

I can personally vouch that the depiction of Pittsburgh in this game is exactly like the real city.

The Pitt was one of the expansions released for Fallout 3 back in 2009. It took players to the ruins of a little city called Pittsburgh located in the state of Pennsylvania. The developers at Bethesda must enjoy Pittsburgh a whole heck of a lot because we're going back there in Fallout 76.

This September, Fallout 76 will let players venture beyond the borders of Appalachia...

Starfield and Redfall Delayed Until 2023

    This is not completely unexpected.

Bethesda took to Twitter today to announce that both Starfield and Redfall have been delayed. The games will no longer launch within 2022 and are now expected to be released in the first half of 2023.

Redfall is the open-world, vampire-slaying, co-op game that is in development at Arkane Austin. We really haven't seen much about the game since it made its debut at E3 2021, even though it was supposed to be out some time this Summer....
