Superhot VR Released on Oculus Quest
    Shawn Zipay
Oh yeah, the Oculus Quest and Rift-S are out today too.

The Superhot team have released an Oculus Quest version of Superhot VR today. This new release goes hand in hand with today's release of the Oculus Quest. The team is calling this release the "definitive Superhot VR experience." As an owner of the regular Rift and Superhot VR, that kind of stings a bit to hear.

However, there is the fact that the Quest doesn't have any wires hanging off of it, nor does it need any external sensors set up. This now allows Superhot VR for the Quest to have a full 360 degrees...

Four Things to Consider Before Buying a Gaming Laptop
    Major 0
Gaming laptops, as the name implies, are not designed for everyday use. Most gaming laptops are going to offer more power and higher specs than what a person needs for working at an office or simply streaming videos from Netflix. When you look at the gaming laptop options that are available, it can be overwhelming. Gaming laptops are made by companies that have a stellar reputation, including Asus, MSI, HP, and Dell. Most of these companies do a great job in designing their laptops so that they are visually appealing and stuffed full of tech that gives them impressive specs.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan Set for August 30 Release Date
    Shawn Zipay
From the makers of Until Dawn.

A release date has been set for The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan. The game, which blends elements of suspense, horror, and narrative storytelling, will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on August 30, 2019.

This game is being worked on by Supermassive Games, whom you may best know for having brought Until Dawn to the world on the PlayStation 4. They also brought other games to the table, which maybe weren't as great, but we don't like to talk about those.

Those who pre-order the game ahead...

Sony to Bring Games to Film and TV with Launch of PlayStation Productions

A feature film based on Knack? It's more likely than you think.

It was announced today that Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) launched a new PlayStation Productions division. This is a production studio that will help to bring Sony's first-party game offerings to film and TV. PlayStation Productions is being led by Asad Qizilbash and Mr. Worldwide Studios himself, Shawn Layden.

Over its 25 year run producing games, Sony has accumulated more than 100 original properties. Shawn Layden and Qizilbash are all in for this idea....

Early Access Begins for The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr
    Shawn Zipay
All pre-orders can play right now.

Though the "full" launch of the Elsweyr expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online isn't until June 4, those who pre-ordered the game can play as early as today. Specifically, those that pre-ordered on PC and Mac can play starting today. I believe those playing on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will have to keep waiting until June 4.

This new Elsweyr expansion offers up the sandy desert areas of Elsweyr, home of the Kahjit. It's not all sun and sand though. There are grasslands to explore along with some new cities where you can...

Reply to Call of Duty Shakeup - Call of Duty 2020 is Another Black Ops and Is Modern Warfare 4 Going Free-to-Play?
Considering Activision probably only really cares about milking the Battle Royale mode, which is probably the F2P component, my enthusiasm is at an all time low for the series.
I thought BO4 was pretty bad, guns all looked the same and felt weak due to the armour system, which was probably only added because of the BR mode, Hero abilities returned from BO3 which i didn't care for in that game either.
The Treyarch games before now were all fantastic, my favourites in the franchise, Infinity Ward were good up to MW3 when explosives and killstreaks took over the game, and the marketing...

    Shawn Zipay
Reports include talk of arguments between Sledgehammer and Raven.

There are reported some massive changes happening behind the scenes of the Call of Duty franchise. According to a new report from Jason Schreier of Kotaku, Call of Duty 2020 is no longer being developed by Sledgehammer and Raven. It will instead be handled by Treyarch and it will be another entry in the Black Ops saga.

This is the first major change in the development cycle of the Call of Duty franchise since 2012. Since then, the Call of Duty games have cycled between three lead studios. Those studios...

Reply to Rage 2 Updated on Steam to Remove Denuvo DRM
    Shawn Zipay
I've never had an issue with Denuvo either. At least... nothing that I was aware of or thought to attribute to DRM.

I know the most typical complaint is that is has an impact on performance. Now, just because I've never been able to attribute performance issues to Denuvo doesn't mean I haven't experienced it. Most times I complete (or ditch) a game before Denuvo is ever removed for it anyway.

With Rage 2, it seems like the update yesterday, which removed Denuvo, made performance worse? https://www.pcgamer.com/rage-2-patch...ance-is-worse/

Bungie Brings Back the Nerf Gun on Fan-Favorite Destiny 2 Weapons
    Shawn Zipay
    Old Bungie is back.

Around the release of the Curse of Osiris update for Destiny 2, Bungie had vowed to take a drastically different approach to how they handle community favored weapons in the game. Old Bungie would have nerfed those weapons into the ground without a second thought.

But new Bungie? New Bungie said that they wanted to instead buff up other weapons to make them more attractive choices. This was a part of their "Go Fast Update" initiative. Specifically, here is what they said in all capital letters for some weird reason (via Game Rant).

Rage 2 Updated on Steam to Remove Denuvo DRM
    Shawn Zipay
    Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Bethesda announced that a new update was released today for the Steam version of Rage 2. This update, among other things, removes the always dreaded Denuvo DRM.

Denuvo was included at the launch of the game on Steam, but was curiously missing from the Bethesda.net Launcher version that came out at the same time. Fans were a bit curious (and upset) over this. The ongoing theory is that Denuvo was utilized on Steam to prevent Rage 2 from getting leaked early from those with access to the review build. Reviews of the PC version of Rage 2 were...

Skull & Bones was initially revealed way back at E3 2017. More footage was revealed at E3 2018 and it was still looking pretty good. Last year came the first delay which pushed it into the 2019-2020 fiscal year. Today, that date has been pushed back yet again to the 2020-2021 fiscal...

Valve was given a new trademark this week. This trademark is for an upcoming "computer game" called DOTA Underlords. Literally nothing else is known about this title. There is speculation that it may be the name of Valve's standalone release of DOTA Auto Chess, but that's as much of a guess as anything else.
