    Shawn Zipay
    There's a lawsuit a brewin'.

A law firm in the States are apparently getting ready to file a class-action lawsuit against Nintendo. The potential lawsuit stems from the growing anger over "Joy-Con drift" issues that have plagued the Nintendo Switch controllers since launch.

If you don't know what Joy-Con drift is, Kotaku actually put up an article about this growing problem just this past week. In short, it's when the Switch detects movement from a stick that the player may not even be touching. For example: If the right stick controls the camera, you may notice...

Devolver Digital and developer Free Lives have pulled GORN out of Early Access today. The game is now a fully fledged release for SteamVR and Oculus devices. If you don't already know, GORN is a cartoony but violent gladiator sim. You are pitted against NPCs as you utilize physics based combat and weapons to beat your opponents into a pulp, quite literally.

GORN spent roughly two years in Steam Early Access and ended up being one of the top ten games for VR as far as sales are concerned. At least, that's what they're telling...

Reply to Original Switch Model Updated with Better Battery Life
    Shawn Zipay
This is apparently coming out in August. I hadn't seen that info until well after this went up today.

cikame The new Tegra chips have been the rumor indeed. If that is what's happening here, I imagine Nintendo won't outright say it to the public because that would, more than likely, cause some confusion with consumers. Or people getting a Switch now thinking it's "not as powerful" as this upcoming revision will get upset or something. It's just easier to say it has better battery life and leave it at that.

Season 4 of PUBG has a Backstory that Nobody Asked For
    Shawn Zipay
    This seems unnecessary.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is a battle royale game that came out in 2017 as an Early Access title. In all this time, nobody once seriously questioned why 100 people were jumping out of an airplane to murder each other in remote locations. Apparently, somebody at PUBG Corp. finally raised that question because the game is getting a backstory for its upcoming fourth season.

It is every bit as unnecessary as you are probably imagining it to be. An official "Season 4 Cinematic Trailer" for PUBG opens with a shot of a boy. This boy is...

    No other changes mentioned.

Nintendo revealed that they are releasing an updated version of their regular Nintendo Switch soon. The only mentioned differences are the improved battery life when compared to the original model of the Switch. That is it. There are no other differences mentioned.

The good news is that the battery life upgrades are not insignificant. At present, Nintendo says that the current Switch (HAC-001) has between 2.5 to 6.5 hours of battery life, depending on what you're playing. The new model (HAC-001(-01)) will have 4.5 to 9 hours of battery life....

Ubisoft Reveals Over 100 Uplay+ Launch Titles
    Shawn Zipay
Plus, try it free for one month.

Back at E3, Ubisoft announced that they would soon launch their own subscription service. This service that they're calling Uplay+ would function much like EA's Access and Origin Access programs in that you will be able to pay a monthly fee to gain access to an ever growing library of old and new titles from the publisher. Really, the only major differences that I can see here is the fact that Uplay+ may not include a discount on game purchases like EA has with their Access program.

Today, Ubisoft revealed their initial game offerings...

No Cross-platform Play for Borderlands 3 at Launch

A few days back, the Borderlands 3 Twitter promised an upcoming "celebration of togetherness." Many took that little teaser to mean that Gearbox was going to announce that Borderlands 3 would ship with cross-platform play support.

Well, it doesn't have cross-platform support. Today's "celebration" was for something that really wasn't even close to cross-platform support. Yesterday, Randy Pitchford finally shot those rumors down but not before letting them simmer and stew for a few days following the tease....
