    It's a good game.

Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive have a lot to celebrate today. The developer and publisher combo recently released A Plague Tale: Innocence, which we gave high praise for in our review from earlier this month. It looks like we weren't the only ones to enjoy the game because a new accolades trailer was released today.

Before you check out the accolades trailer, be sure to check out the website for A Plague Tale: Innocence. It's available now for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. ...

Anthem Falls Out of Top 49 Most Played Games on Xbox

It's being beat by games that have been out for far longer.

This week, Microsoft updated their most played games section on their store. These are the most played games in the Xbox ecosystem from 1 to 49. Why 49 and not 50? How am I supposed to know? The important part here is that Anthem has now fallen off of this most played list.

The last handful of games on the list include Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Borderlands 2, Brawlhalla, and Battlefield 1. That's Battlefield 1, not the more recent Battlefield 5 which is actually looking to be the 23rd most played game on the...

    Nioh 2 Closed Alpha Teaser

    Pull my devil trigger?

A new teaser trailer is out today for Nioh 2. This trailer gives you a little glimpse of the upcoming closed alpha for the game. Invites for the alpha have already gone out to some PlayStation 4 owners. According to Team Ninja, there are no plans to expand the alpha beyond those who are already invited.

Like its predecessor, Nioh 2 looks to bring even more action and exploration to fans that liked the original. It seems as though there will once again be a wide variety of enemies to face, moves to master, and even something that looks a bit like...

'Absolute Majority' of Metro Exodus Sales Were on Consoles

THQ Nordic founder tries to avoid talking about Epic Games Store sales figures.

Lars Wingefors, THQ Nordic's CEO and founder, seemed rather reserved when talking about the sales figures for some of THQ's most publicized releases this past year. Specifically, he shied away from talking specifics when it comes to PC sales of games like Metro Exodus and outright ignores another question regarding sales of Satisfactory.

A lot of this information came courtesy of the latest earnings call for the company.

According to those who listened in on the call, Wingefors...

RuneScape Expanding with 'The Land Out of Time'

Get ready for a "Jurassic spark" this July.

That quip above is almost directly from the press release. It was just too good to pass up and I sure couldn't think of anything better. This July, RuneScape players will get to adventure in an all-new environment. The new area is called Anachronia and it's being called "The Land Out of Time."

    Can you guess why?

That's right, there will be dinosaurs! This land was pulled straight out of the past by the evil Kerapac. Players will continue to track "the dragonkin" as he continues working...

New Gameplay Trailer for The Sinking City

    Witness the madness.

A new gameplay trailer is out today for The Sinking City. As we've talked about already, The Sinking City is a game smothered in Cthulhu mythos and wrapped in plenty of detective focused action. It's being developed by Frogwares and published by Bigben. There was another gameplay video, released just this past month, that focused more on the investigation side of things.

The Sinking City is currently slated to be released on June 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store. ...

Valve Releases Stand-alone Steam Chat App for Mobile

As Facebook has Messenger, Steam has Steam Chat.

Valve just released the new Steam Chat application for both iOS and Android mobile devices. This is a new stand-alone app that allows you to have all of the features of Steam chat in a more lightweight application.

If you're still confused, maybe this will make it a bit easier to understand. You know how there is the bloated Facebook app for mobile phones? And you know how Facebook has a private messaging system that they broke off into its own app called Messenger? Messenger allows you to chat to your Facebook friends...

  • PSA: Big PlayStation Store Sale is Live - Offers Double Discounts for Plus Subscribers

Some games can be had for up to 80% off.

Sony just kicked off a big double discount sale for a bunch of PlayStation 4 games, a decent amount of PlayStation 3 titles, and a handful of Vita games. I say that this is a "double discount" because that's what Sony is saying. There is already a sale price for non PlayStation Plus subscribers. But if you are a Plus subscriber, there is an additional discount on top.

This means that non-Plus subscribers can get up to 40% off on select titles during this sale, while Plus subs can get up to 80% off.

Superhot VR Released on Oculus Quest

Oh yeah, the Oculus Quest and Rift-S are out today too.

The Superhot team have released an Oculus Quest version of Superhot VR today. This new release goes hand in hand with today's release of the Oculus Quest. The team is calling this release the "definitive Superhot VR experience." As an owner of the regular Rift and Superhot VR, that kind of stings a bit to hear.

However, there is the fact that the Quest doesn't have any wires hanging off of it, nor does it need any external sensors set up. This now allows Superhot VR for the Quest to have a full 360 degrees...

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan Set for August 30 Release Date

From the makers of Until Dawn.

A release date has been set for The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan. The game, which blends elements of suspense, horror, and narrative storytelling, will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on August 30, 2019.

This game is being worked on by Supermassive Games, whom you may best know for having brought Until Dawn to the world on the PlayStation 4. They also brought other games to the table, which maybe weren't as great, but we don't like to talk about those.

Those who pre-order the game ahead...

Though the "full" launch of the Elsweyr expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online isn't until June 4, those who pre-ordered the game can play as early as today. Specifically, those that pre-ordered on PC and Mac can play starting today. I believe those playing on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will have to keep waiting until June 4.

This new Elsweyr expansion offers up the sandy desert areas of Elsweyr, home of the Kahjit. It's not all sun and sand though. There are grasslands to explore along with some new cities where you can...

  • Call of Duty Shakeup - Call of Duty 2020 is Another Black Ops and Is Modern Warfare 4 Going Free-to-Play?

Reports include talk of arguments between Sledgehammer and Raven.

There are reported some massive changes happening behind the scenes of the Call of Duty franchise. According to a new report from Jason Schreier of Kotaku, Call of Duty 2020 is no longer being developed by Sledgehammer and Raven. It will instead be handled by Treyarch and it will be another entry in the Black Ops saga.

This is the first major change in the development cycle of the Call of Duty franchise since 2012. Since then, the Call of Duty games have cycled between three lead studios. Those studios...

  • I've never had an issue with Denuvo either. At least... nothing that I was aware of or thought to attribute to DRM.

I know the most typical complaint is that is has an impact on performance. Now, just because I've never been able to attribute performance issues to Denuvo doesn't mean I haven't experienced it. Most times I complete (or ditch) a game before Denuvo is ever removed for it anyway.

With Rage 2, it seems like the update yesterday, which removed Denuvo, made performance worse? https://www.pcgamer.com/rage-2-patch...ance-is-worse/
