Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Adds Smoothing Toggle to PC in Latest Update
The update is out now for PC.
Konami has released the 1.4.0 update for just the PC version of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1. This update unfortunately won't be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch until some time in January 2024.
It's perhaps for the best that the PC version got this update sooner rather than later. The PC release of the Master Collection was perhaps a tad bit worse off than the console versions.... -

EA Rebrands Frostbite for 2024 and Onwards
Frostbite is now a "platform for collaborative innovation."
Electronic Arts and DICE are rebranding and evolving the Frostbite game engine into a "platform for collaborative innovation." To that end, EA revealed a new logo and brand identity for Frostbite. Gone is the broken glass hand design logo that has been used since 2013. In its place is a more "real" hand design that looks more akin to a topographical map than anything else.
The new... -

Peter Molyneux's Unfinished Godus Games Pulled from Sale After a Decade of Empty Promises
Molyneux has done it again.
Remember Godus? Of course you don't, nobody remembers Godus. The game's developer, 22cans, barely remembered that game. Anyway, Godus is now dead. Also, Godus Wars is dead. They have both been removed from sale on Steam in a move that 22cans blames on an "upcoming technical change to Amazon Web Services."
Nobody really seems to know just what is meant by that excuse.
Godus was made available through Steam Early Access... -

Epic's Tim Sweeney Open to Bringing Fortnite to Steam, But Only if Valve Ditches 30% Cut
Like a broken record.
Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney recently mentioned on Twitter that he's open to bringing Fortnite to Steam, the Microsoft Store, and other platforms. Of course, there's a catch to that. Sweeney says that he would only be open to bringing Fortnite to these other platforms if the platform holders got rid "of these ridiculous 30% fees."
To preface this a bit, Valve does take a 30% cut of sales made through Steam but only up to a point. Once certain... -

Naughty Dog Officially Cancels Dedicated The Last of Us Multiplayer Game
The writing was on the wall for quite some time.
In early November, Naughty Dog game director Vinit Agarwal said that the studio was still working on the dedicated The Last of Us Multiplayer game, or The Last of Us Online as Naughty Dog called it. This was despite several reports that said the project was basically dead or stuck in development limbo. Today, Naughty Dog officially announced that The Last of Us Mutiplayer is officially dead.
