The first full expansion for Diablo 4 was revealed over the weekend. Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred will task players with searching for Neyrelle in the new region of Nahantu. Neyrelle is having a bit of a bad go of things after she chose to imprison the Prime Evil Mephisto and went off in search of a way to destroy him.
Vessel of Hatred will also add the new Spiritborn class. This is an entirely new class to Diablo that will be full revealed on July 18th. In Vessel of Hatred, players will also be able to recruit Mercenaries to help in combat. There will also be a new PvE co-op activity, and much more.
Pre-purchases of Vessel of Hatred are live now through Battle.net, PlayStation and Xbox storefronts, and Steam and will be released on October 8, 2024. If you pre-order the Ultimate Edition you will immediately receive Alkor the Snow Leopard Pet, Natalya the Tiger Pet, and Hlrati the Canine Pet. You also get the Nahantu War-cat Mount Bundle, Wings of the Faith cosmetic, 3,000 Platinum, armor sets for each class, and more.
Pets, which are now available in Diablo 4 if you get the Ultimate Edition of the expansion, will be able to pick up Gold and Materials. There will be an in-game quest that allows you to unlock your new Pets the next time you log in to Diablo 4. All players, regardless of pre-orders, will be able to earn Asheara the Canine Pet.
Blizzard also shared the opening cinematic for Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred. Hey, maybe don't watch if you hate spaghetti? Just a thought.
