Watch Almost an Hour of Death Stranding Gameplay

A lot of gameplay footage that may finally provide a lot of answers.

The marketing for the Kojima Productions game, Death Stranding, has left consumers with more questions than answers. It's a game from the mind of Hideo Kojima, so of course the marketing was going to be odd. The problem was, there are a lot of people that just have no idea about what the game was even about even after the numerous trailers.

Maybe sitting down and watching 50 minutes of gameplay will help clear up that confusion. If that doesn't work, then maybe a breakdown of the gameplay footage from...

Final Fantasy VII Remake Tokyo Game Show 2019 Trailer

The trailer is at the bottom after these boring words.

Square Enix showed off an all new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake this week at the Tokyo Game Show. The new trailer offers a fresh look at gameplay, the slums of Midgar, and a peak at the mini-games and summons. Midgar is home to the Shinra Electric Power Company. This kind of totally evil company is in conflict with Avalanche, a resistance group fighting to keep their planet alive. You will also get your first look at some of the Shinra operatives known as The Turks.

Square Enix also included their new artwork...

Cube World is Coming to Steam

Let me take you back to the year 2013...

In 2013, a little game called Cube World came out in an "alpha" release. It was a cute, stylized adventure-RPG that offered a ton of freedom, battles, exploration, and more. A big appeal of the alpha was being able to have all of these adventures with your friends in one world. To its credit, the limited content of the alpha was quite enjoyable but the promise of bigger and better was always just around the corner. The problem came when it was just never updated! Eventually the developer went dark.

We would sometimes...

  • PSA: Steam Lunar New Year Sale Begins; Valve Makes Improvements to Steam Wishlist

First off, Valve kicked off the Steam Lunar New Year Sale today with "discounts on thousands of titles." I mean, it's a sale on Steam. You kind of already know what the deal is with that by now. Go forth and save money, or don't. It's entirely up to you.

Secondly, Valve pushed out an update to Wishlists on Steam.

  • THQ Nordic Acquires Koch Media

    THQ Nordic Acquires Koch Media

News broke early this morning that THQ Nordic has acquired Koch Media. The deal, worth 121 million euro, means that THQ Nordic also now owns Deep Silver, the publisher of Saints Row, Dead Island, the upcoming Shenmue 3, the upcoming Metro Exodus, and the recently released Kingdom Come: Deliverance. You know, to name a few franchises you might recognize.

That seems like quite the get for THQ Nordic there. Especially when you consider that back in late 2012, THQ sold off most of their assets to places like Koch Media and Nordic Games. Nordic Games then became THQ Nordic in 2016. In just the past year and a half, THQ Nordic picked up...

Deep Rock Galactic Launches on February 28

On February 28, Xbox One and PC owners will get to dive deep, shoot a bunch, and destroy the world, almost literally. Deep Rock Galactic is a game where you and up to three additional friends carry out missions on the "most hostile planet ever discovered." Oh. Oh my.

Your goal is to mine for various gems and metals. You know, dwarf stuff. Along the way, you will have to take out enemies and mine for goods as one of four different classes.
Enlisted dwarves will be paired with up to three like-minded brethren and sent on missions to the most hostile planet ever discovered, Hoxxes IV, to mine precious gems and metals. Cooperation is essential to your success and,

  • Official First-Person Mode Released for The Evil Within 2

Official First-Person Mode Released for The Evil Within 2

The Evil Within 2 already featured a small section of gameplay that was entirely in first-person mode. Shortly after the game's release, someone was able to mod the game to enable first-person mode for the entirety of the game. Now, Tango Gameworks has updated the game with an official first-person mode that everyone can safely enjoy. The option can be toggled on and off at any point within the options menu. Finding an area too hard in first-person? Turn it off. Likewise, if you want to see everything from the eyes of Sebastian, you can certainly do that. This free update is available to everyone that owns the game on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox...

  • CEO of Insel Games Sends Email Pressuring Employees to Write Positive Reviews (UPDATE: Valve Removes Insel from Steam)

Update: Valve has removed all games published by Insel Games from Steam.
It has been recently reported on Reddit that the publisher for this game, Insel Games Ltd., have been attempting to manipulate the user review score for their titles on Steam. We have investigated these claims, and have identified unacceptable behavior involving multiple Steam accounts controlled by the publisher of this game. The publisher appears to have used multiple Steam accounts to post positive reviews for their own games. This is a clear violation of our review policy and something we take very seriously. For these reasons, we are ending our business relationship with Insel Games

Explore the Music of Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom

A new behind the scenes video by Bandai Namco and LEVEL-5 showcases some of the tunes you will hear while playing through Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. Specifically, this new video shows off the process of creating the music and it features the "legendary composer" Joe Hisaishi.

I looked up Joe Hisaishi and based on what I found I would be so inclined as to say that yes, he is indeed a legendary composer. He is known for a variety of works including Spirited Away, Ponyo, Kiki's Delivery Service, the 1998 Winter Paralympics soundtrack, Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke, and so much more. Ni no K...

Rumor: Spyro Trilogy Remaster Coming in 2018

A new rumor ignited by Kotaku and "multiple sources familiar with the project" say that Activision is working on a Spyro the Dragon Trilogy Remaster. You know, kind of like what they did with the stellar Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy? The rumor continues on to suggest that there will be an announcement made in March 2018 with a planned release for the third quarter of this year, presumably in September to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the first game's initial release date. The sources tell Kotaku that the remaster will include new assets, lighting, animations, cinematics, and a remastered soundtrack. It is being...

You're looking at three days of massive LAN parties, exhibits, panels, and presentations. I'm going to let the press release do the talking because it has the full details without any confusion.
