New 'Experimental' Splinter Cell Game Confirmed by Ubisoft CEO

Open World? GAAS? Mobile? VR?

The emotional rollercoaster that fans of the Splinter Cell series has been on for the past few years has been never ending, has had no chill, and frankly, it's gotten to be a wee bit tiresome. In May of this year, a new Splinter Cell was apparently "confirmed" and then it was later revealed to just be a joke.

Last month, we again heard a rumor that a new Splinter Cell was actually in the works. However, that story from July says that Facebook is financing the game and that it will be a VR only title and exclusive to the Oculus...

Mojang Cancels 'Super Duper Graphics Pack' for Minecraft

Performance issues and engine difficulties were too much to overcome.

Sadly, Mojang announced today that they are cancelling the promised Super Duper Graphics Pack that was originally revealed at E3 2017. This visual overhaul was teased for the game during the annual industry trade show and fans were eager to check it out for themselves.

This was going to be an optional piece of DLC that brought a suite of visual improvements to the Xbox One and PC versions of the game without needing to mod it. Sure, a lot of the visual improvements have been done time and time again...

No Man's Sky Beyond Launch Trailer

Update arrives August 14.

A launch trailer for the massive Beyond update for No Man's Sky was released today by Hello Games. This update is said to be the "culmination of 12 months of work" on what was originally going to be three separate, large updates. Those three updates have been rolled into this massive update.

We already touched upon some of the new features and content coming to the game in our last post. The biggest addition, at least for PC and PlayStation VR owners, is the addition of full VR support for No Man's Sky. There are also some additional...

Solos Finally Coming to Apex Legends

But only for a limited time.

Apex Legends will finally allow introverts to play without worry starting on August 13. A Solos Mode will be introduced into the F2P battle royale game. So far, the game has only really allowed for three-man squads.

The addition of Solos Mode is the good news. The bad news is that this mode will only be added to the game for a limited time. This Solos Mode will run from August 13 through August 27 in Apex Legends. Best get your fill of it while you can, because who knows when or if it will come back afterwards. ...

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is about to hit those of us in the States on March 20, 2018. It's so close I can almost hear the multitudes of "nani." And true to the nature of the franchise, Yakuza 6 doesn't skimp on the minigames.
What does a man with the world on his shoulders and a child to look after do to relax and unwind? In Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, Kiryu enjoys a swing of the bat, a jostle of the joystick, or some good old-fashioned mahjong. The world of Yakuza 6, encompassing the cities of Kamurocho and Onomichi, offers a variety of amusement activities to pass the time in between critical missions and hilarious substories--like playing Puy

Smaller YouTube Partners Get Screwed by New Policy

To those of you who like to upload their videos to YouTube in the hopes of earning a few bucks here or there, this is important to hear. YouTube is about to implement some stricter requirements for being a Partner on the website. Partners, if you don't already know, allow uploaders to place ads on their videos. It helps YouTube to earn some money along with the content creators. It was a great way to monetize your work. Now, thanks to the work of some real assholes on the platform, YouTube is doing what it does best and is implementing a new system that will really put the screws to smaller channels. Before, to become a YouTube Partner, your channel only needed to have 10,000 lifetime views. The new re...

Two Point Hospital Announced, Spiritual Successor to Theme Hospital

There once was a game called Theme Hospital. It was a wacky and charming hospital "simulator" in the late 90s that came out from Bullfrog and EA for the PC and PlayStation. It was a damn good time designing your hospital, managing the rooms, staff, and dealing with medical emergencies like the Squits and Chronic Nosehair. Sadly, nothing more ever came from that IP.

Well, it's back. After 20+ years, it's back. Actually, it's sort of back. A game called Two Point Hospital from SEGA Europe and developer Two Point Studios was announced yesterday. It's looking to be like Theme Hospital 2 in everything but name.
SEGA Europe Ltd. and Two Point Studios today announced a revolutionary

I like it when a press release is short and to the point. Civilization VI: Rise and Fall is, as we've mentioned, due out on February 8, 2018.
