New 'Experimental' Splinter Cell Game Confirmed by Ubisoft CEO

Open World? GAAS? Mobile? VR?

The emotional rollercoaster that fans of the Splinter Cell series has been on for the past few years has been never ending, has had no chill, and frankly, it's gotten to be a wee bit tiresome. In May of this year, a new Splinter Cell was apparently "confirmed" and then it was later revealed to just be a joke.

Last month, we again heard a rumor that a new Splinter Cell was actually in the works. However, that story from July says that Facebook is financing the game and that it will be a VR only title and exclusive to the Oculus...

Mojang Cancels 'Super Duper Graphics Pack' for Minecraft

Performance issues and engine difficulties were too much to overcome.

Sadly, Mojang announced today that they are cancelling the promised Super Duper Graphics Pack that was originally revealed at E3 2017. This visual overhaul was teased for the game during the annual industry trade show and fans were eager to check it out for themselves.

This was going to be an optional piece of DLC that brought a suite of visual improvements to the Xbox One and PC versions of the game without needing to mod it. Sure, a lot of the visual improvements have been done time and time again...

This all comes courtesy of YouTuber TheLongSensation via his Twitter account. While it may be easy to just write this off as some random person...

No Man's Sky Beyond Launch Trailer

Update arrives August 14.

A launch trailer for the massive Beyond update for No Man's Sky was released today by Hello Games. This update is said to be the "culmination of 12 months of work" on what was originally going to be three separate, large updates. Those three updates have been rolled into this massive update.

We already touched upon some of the new features and content coming to the game in our last post. The biggest addition, at least for PC and PlayStation VR owners, is the addition of full VR support for No Man's Sky. There are also some additional...

Solos Finally Coming to Apex Legends

But only for a limited time.

Apex Legends will finally allow introverts to play without worry starting on August 13. A Solos Mode will be introduced into the F2P battle royale game. So far, the game has only really allowed for three-man squads.

The addition of Solos Mode is the good news. The bad news is that this mode will only be added to the game for a limited time. This Solos Mode will run from August 13 through August 27 in Apex Legends. Best get your fill of it while you can, because who knows when or if it will come back afterwards. ...

Mad Catz is Back with New PC Hardware

Last April, we reported that Mad Catz was no more. The studio had filed for bankruptcy following poor sales, namely from the lackluster sales of their Rock Band 4 peripherals. It didn't really help that they were the co-publisher for the game which failed to make waves as the franchise did back in its heyday.

However, Mad Catz is back. The company announced today that "Mad Catz is back in the game." Yes, the company that made your favorite third-party gaming peripherals is on the scene once again with some hot new PC gaming hardware. • The Best Games on Steam in 2017

The Best Games on Steam in 2017

There were a lot of video games released in 2017. Most of those seem to have been released on Steam, even a metric ton that you probably have no idea even exist. I'm looking at you, oh let's just say... Evil Come. What with your two user reviews. Yeah, you.

Even still there were a lot of games that did get noticed in 2017. Games like Playerunknown's Battlegrounds and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt seemed to do a-ok in 2017, earning spots in the "Platinum" tier of the best sellers in 2017 on Steam. That's actually even more impressive when you consider one of those was in Early Access for half of the year and the other came out almost...

  • Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, and Dragon Age DLC Finally Appear on Origin

Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, and Dragon Age DLC Finally Appear on Origin

For the first time in literally years, the DLC for Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age II, and Dragon Age: Origins have appeared for sale on Origin. To be more specific, the DLC is available for sale in bundles for each game. Hey, it's still a step up from being only able to buy the DLC through BioWare using their BioWare Points. Who thought that was a smart thing to keep doing when Origin has been around for years? How did it literally take years for this to happen?! And why can you still not buy the DLC items separately?! UGH!

The Mass Effect 2 DLC Bundle is going for $24.99 (USD) through Origin.
