Call of Duty Shakeup - Call of Duty 2020 is Another Black Ops and Is Modern Warfare 4 Going Free-to-Play?

Reports include talk of arguments between Sledgehammer and Raven.

There are reported some massive changes happening behind the scenes of the Call of Duty franchise. According to a new report from Jason Schreier of Kotaku, Call of Duty 2020 is no longer being developed by Sledgehammer and Raven. It will instead be handled by Treyarch and it will be another entry in the Black Ops saga.

This is the first major change in the development cycle of the Call of Duty franchise since 2012. Since then, the Call of Duty games have cycled between three lead studios. Those studios...

Bungie Brings Back the Nerf Gun on Fan-Favorite Destiny 2 Weapons

Old Bungie is back.

Around the release of the Curse of Osiris update for Destiny 2, Bungie had vowed to take a drastically different approach to how they handle community favored weapons in the game. Old Bungie would have nerfed those weapons into the ground without a second thought.

But new Bungie? New Bungie said that they wanted to instead buff up other weapons to make them more attractive choices. This was a part of their "Go Fast Update" initiative. Specifically, here is what they said in all capital letters for some weird reason (via Game Rant).

Review: A Plague Tale: Innocence (PC)

Incredible from start to finish.

Every once in a while there comes a new game release that defies all expectations. A Plague Tale: Innocence is one such game. Thanks to a delicate balance of satisfying gameplay and an engaging story, A Plague Tale will sink its hooks into you right from its opening chapters. Though there are a couple of small missteps along the way, the journey you share with siblings Amicia and Hugo is one you really don't want to miss.

There are many more review "buzz words" I could use to describe A Plague Tale, but I will spare you from...

  • Loot Boxes Getting Removed from Forza Motorsport 7, No Paid Tokens for Forza Horizon 4

A big change is coming to Forza Motorsport 7. Studio head of Turn 10 Alan Hartman revealed that they are working to remove the loot box "prize crates" from Forza 7. He also notes that there will not be any paid tokens in either Forza Motorsport 7 or Forza Horizon 4.

The problem here is that due to how integrated the loot box system is to the overall progression in Forza 7, it will take some time to remove them. That is to say, the removal won't take place until the Winter update for the game.

Here is what Hartman has to say about this decision to remove the loot boxes.
One major area of discussion for the team has

  • Latest Strange Brigade Trailer Teases Post-Release Content

Latest Strange Brigade Trailer Teases Post-Release Content

Though the release of Strange Brigade isn't for another month (August 28) still, that doesn't mean it's too early to start talking about post-launch content plans. Let's face it: With a month left to to until release, games are usually feature complete and it's just bug squishing time. Those working on new content need something to do, right?

That something looks to be a Strange Brigade Season Pass that will include a new campaign, new playable characters, new weapons, and more. If you don't want to pay extra for the Season Pass, there will be free monthly content released as well.
