According to Korean news site MTN, as relayed by VGC, a new MMO based on the Horizon franchise may be in development at NCSoft. Sony is reportedly working with the South Korean developer of the Guild Wars franchise to expand upon the world players have experienced in Horizon: Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West.

The report says that NCSoft is currently recruiting new hires for the project, which has been referred to as "Project H" in job advertisements.

NCSoft has not confirmed anything in the MTN report, but did issue a brief statement.

"It is difficult to confirm information about unpublished projects that are currently under development."
VGC added to the original report by bringing up the point that Guerrilla Games has "long planned to expand Horizon into multiplayer." They continue on to note that the first game was initially going to include co-op but was ultimately scrapped. Sony also wanted co-op in Forbidden West, but Guerrilla instead decided to save it for a future project be it a spin-off or Horizon 3.

In 2021, Guerrilla was pulling in additional staff to work on an unannounced online game. One of the roles they were hiring for include a senior social systems designer. The job description would involve having players engage in "social interactions to create lasting relationships, and where comptible... create Guild-like groups to explore together."
