Call of Duty Shakeup - Call of Duty 2020 is Another Black Ops and Is Modern Warfare 4 Going Free-to-Play?

Reports include talk of arguments between Sledgehammer and Raven.

There are reported some massive changes happening behind the scenes of the Call of Duty franchise. According to a new report from Jason Schreier of Kotaku, Call of Duty 2020 is no longer being developed by Sledgehammer and Raven. It will instead be handled by Treyarch and it will be another entry in the Black Ops saga.

This is the first major change in the development cycle of the Call of Duty franchise since 2012. Since then, the Call of Duty games have cycled between three lead studios. Those studios...

Bungie Brings Back the Nerf Gun on Fan-Favorite Destiny 2 Weapons

Old Bungie is back.

Around the release of the Curse of Osiris update for Destiny 2, Bungie had vowed to take a drastically different approach to how they handle community favored weapons in the game. Old Bungie would have nerfed those weapons into the ground without a second thought.

But new Bungie? New Bungie said that they wanted to instead buff up other weapons to make them more attractive choices. This was a part of their "Go Fast Update" initiative. Specifically, here is what they said in all capital letters for some weird reason (via Game Rant).

PSA: Epic Mega Sale Underway Until June 13

Sale includes free games every week and pre-order discounts.

The Epic Games Store just kicked off its own multi-week long sale today. This sale finds discounts of up to 75% off of some titles. It also includes discounts on pre-orders for games like John Wick Hex, Borderlands 3, or Control. Just to name a few.

The way this sale works is this: Some games that are already out are on sale for up to 75% off. Other games that don't have a percentage off will be at least $10 off if their regular price is $14.99 and higher. On top of this, there will be a free game given out...

Review: A Plague Tale: Innocence (PC)

Incredible from start to finish.

Every once in a while there comes a new game release that defies all expectations. A Plague Tale: Innocence is one such game. Thanks to a delicate balance of satisfying gameplay and an engaging story, A Plague Tale will sink its hooks into you right from its opening chapters. Though there are a couple of small missteps along the way, the journey you share with siblings Amicia and Hugo is one you really don't want to miss.

There are many more review "buzz words" I could use to describe A Plague Tale, but I will spare you from...

New Final Fantasy VII Remake Teaser

Just watch it.

A new teaser trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake was finally shown off today. It's the first one shown off in, I think, over a year. It's not much but maybe it'll be enough until we hear and see more this June. ...

  • These Are the Top 'Controller-Friendly' PC Games of 2018

These Are the Top 'Controller-Friendly' PC Games of 2018

Valve just released a new set of charts today as a follow-up to their "Best of 2018" lists from earlier this week. Today's lists provide a look at some the best "controller-friendly" games that players enjoyed throughout 2018. In a weird twist, Valve broke down the games based on the controller that was used to play them: Xbox controller, PlayStation 4 controller, Steam controller, and the Switch Pro controller.

Valve broke each of the pages down into three smaller sections.

There is a lot of cross-over between the controllers...

  • Free PlayStation Plus Games for January 2019

Free PlayStation Plus Games for January 2019

I only have the free PlayStation Plus games for January 2019 to share with you today as Microsoft has yet to reveal their Games with Gold lineup yet. Sony is offering up games like Steep and Portal Knights for PlayStation 4 owners in the new year. January has typically been a bit of a slower month for the service, which is really unfortunate for those who just got new consoles during Christmas.

  • Steam Reveals "Best of 2018" Lists

Steam Reveals "Best of 2018" Lists

It's the end of 2018 and you know what that means? No, it's not that. Nor is it that. Ew, stop it. Alright, I'll just tell you instead. It's time for Steam's "Best of 2018" lists! You probably actually guessed that given the title, but that's besides the point. Valve has compiled some lists that take a look back at the games released in 2018. These include the top sellers for the year, the best VR titles, and more! Granted, most of these were probably just automatically compiled via Steam's stat tracking, but they're still fun to take a look at.

    The catch here is...

  • MINImax Tinyverse Brings F2P, Real-Time, 3D, Strategy, Brawling, God Gaming to Steam Early Access

In the spirit of just throwing a lot at a wall and seeing what works, Indie studio O'ol Blue Inc. has readied the release of their new free-to-play game, MINImax Tinyverse, for Steam Early Access today. It's got elements of competitive PvP. It's got 3D visuals. It's free-to-play. It's part strategy. It's part brawler. It's also a God-game. I'm pretty sure at this point, the only thing it doesn't do is make you pasta.

If you'd like, you can always find out more information at the MINImax Tinyverse website....

  • Steam Reportedly Closing Down Video Section in Early 2019

Steam Reportedly Closing Down Video Section in Early 2019

I know this may come as a shock to a lot of you, but Steam has an entire video section where you can purchase or rent a wide variety of films like John Wick, and full series like Red vs. Blue. Honestly, I wouldn't be too surprised to learn that most people had no idea that Valve had this section available on Steam because advertising has been next to non-existent for it.

It turns out that there may be something to it because Valve is reportedly going to pull the plug on the entire Steam video section in early 2019. This revelation comes not from Valve directly, but from the...

Second Elusive Target for Hitman 2 Launched Today

Earlier today, the second elusive target for Hitman 2 was made available from IO Interactive. The target is none other than Vicente "The Revolutionary" Murillo. I hear he's a real POS that disappeared in South America in the 80s. ...

Come January 8, the 4.5 update for Final Fantasy XV: Stormblood will be released and with it will come the big ol finale to the Stormblood storyline. Not only that, but this two-part patch will set the stage for the upcoming Shadowbringers expansion that is slated for a vague release date of Summer 2019.

The first part of the patch is entitled A Requiem for Heroes. Let's take a look to see what all is coming for players early next year. ...

  • World War 3 Updated with New Maps and More

World War 3 Updated with New Maps and More

World War 3 has been updated with another "HUGE UPDATE," at least that's what the devs are calling it. Honestly, it does sound like it's a fairly substantial update. It includes new maps, a new tank, a new weapon, new camo, new skins, and more.

Another big part of this update focuses on performance improvements. These include a reduction in RAM usage, shorter load times, and the like. Let's take a look at the full list of changes in this big December Update 0.3 for World War 3.

All patch notes can be found here, while the most current roadmap...
