During today's pre-recorded podcast and subsequent blog post, head of Xbox Phil Spencer stated that four Xbox exclusives are going to be multi-platform releases. Is it Starfield? Indiana Jones? Gears of War? Halo?! No, no, no, and no. Though Spencer did not specify what those four titles ...

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Reviewing Worse than Crime Boss: Rockay City

Gollum manages to be worse than a game with Vanilla Ice.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was released today and I'm willing to bet that this won't be the last time you hear about this game. No, I suspect that you'll hear a bit more about this game when it comes time for some outlets to talk about the worst games released in 2023.

Thus far, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is sitting at just a 43% critic average on OpenCritic with only 5% of all critics actually recommending...

First Bungie Behind the Scenes for Marathon

A first look at this PvP extraction shooter from Bungie.

The original Marathon trilogy of titles were first-person shooters set in a sci-fi universe that had a heavy emphasis on storytelling. They were games that were primarily all about the single-player campaign and the story, though there were some competitive multiplayer modes. The last game, Marathon Infinity was first released for Mac in 1996.

Fast-forward to 2023, some 27 years after the last game was released,...

    After Us Review (PS5)

After Us offers a glimpse of our future and a warning of things to come.

A gaming experience where you engage in thoughtful introspection, wordless encounters, and some platforming across Earth's many diverse locations to undo the devastation caused by global warming sounds like an intriguing idea on paper. Its execution in After Us, however, leaves quite a bit to be desired. Some awkward platforming, poor combat, and performance woes will ultimately leave you feeling a little less...

Yes, this is a Newsbits in all but name, the title was already long enough. The trailers aren't in any order besides the order in which I look at the numerous emails I just received. Vehicle Reworks Coming in Battlefield 2042 Season 5

Less explosives, category adjustments, and more.

DICE just detailed the changes that are coming to vehicle loadouts for Battlefield 2042 in Season 5. While the general changes may not seem like a whole lot at a glance, they are rather big in the grand scheme of things. For instance, DICE is pulling explosives from several vehicles to have them be less of a "jack of all trades" sort of thing and to better fit the roles they were designed for. There is also a small shuffle to move the...

Mortal Kombat 1 is Another 100GB Title

To think my friend in high school said an 80GB drive was more than enough.

Mortal Kombat 1 was announced last week with a big, flashy CG trailer. Since then, the game started to appear on various storefronts, offering potential players a chance to pre-order one of the game's different editions.

One of those storefronts is none other than Steam. As Steam is a PC-focused storefront it stands to reason that some system requirements for Mortal Kombat 1 were also shared, and...

  • Poll: How do You Feel About Xbox Going Multi-Platform?
    by Shawn Zipay
An announcement is expected to take place soon.

For a little while now, rumors suggested that Xbox will begin to offer many of their first-party titles on competing hardware platforms. Just this week, those rumors were given more substance from a number of sources that say games such as Starfield, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Hi-Fi Rush, and even Gears of War could end up on PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch.

If these new reports are to be believed, these first-party...
