It's the start of the month of October 2022, which means it's time for a new poll of the month! This might be the first time I'm actually on the ball with getting the POTM up on the first, but it's only because I've been thinking about this one ahead of time already.

Ubisoft just announced another new co-op shooter today. They're calling it Project U. That's about all we know on this project. Well, that and the concept art which can be seen above. The art seems to depict various characters going up against what look like robot insect things.

Google Passed on an Exclusive Death Stranding Follow-up for Stadia
Single player games are apparently dead, so believes Phil Harrison.
According to a new report by 9to5Google, Google passed on a Stadia-exclusive follow-up to Death Stranding. It seems as though the main sticking point for the management at Stadia is the fact that this proposed game by Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions would be a strictly single player experience.

Vampire Survivors Getting New, Optional Engine Upgrade

As part of the v1.0 release announcement, the development team at poncle says that they are working on porting Vampire Survivors to an entirely new engine. Google is Shutting Down Stadia, Issuing Full Refunds on Purchases
Who could have ever seen this coming?
Moments ago, The Verge issued a new report saying that Google is shutting down Stadia. The service will remain up and running for all players until January 18, 2023.
Those who have purchased any Stadia hardware through the Google Store, plus those that purchased Stadia game releases and add-on content through the Stadia storefront will also be fully refunded. These refunds are expected to be completed by mid-January.

Wild Hearts is a New Hunting Game from EA and Koei Tecmo
You will be hunting some very big game.
We finally have some more details on that "hunting game" that EA and Koei Tecmo pre-announced earlier this month. Wild Hearts is being billed as "the first AAA hunting experience for a new generation." It's apparently rather far along in development already as the release date is set for February 17, 2023 and will be out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and on PC through Origin, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

Stop me if you've heard this one before.
Ubisoft just announced that Skull and Bones has been delayed. Yes, again. Despite recently receiving an ESRB rating and despite a recent release date announcement, the game has been pushed back into 2023.
The firm* release date is now March 9, 2023. The reason given is the usual statement about how the team is hard at work polishing and balancing the game ahead of launch and wouldn't you know it? They just need some more time.... -

Teen Arrested in Connection with Rockstar Games Hack, Pleads Not Guilty
The suspect has plead not guilty but continues to be held due to breaching bail conditions.
This past weekend, a suspect was arrested in connection with the recent data breaches at both Uber and Rockstar Games.
