A free update just hit Astroneer that will allow players to do most anything they want to. The Custom Games Update is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with the Switch version getting this update later in July.
The Custom Games Update allows players to start from any planet they want, spawn in whatever items they want, customize biomes however they want, and then share these customized experiences with the world. Custom scenarios can be shared through "easy-to-use" shareable codes.
There are also some other non-sandbox additions in this update. System Era Softworks added in new Hardcore and Permadeath modes for those who think they have something to prove. On the flip side, new accessibility options have also been added to the game, which should make your space exploration adventures a bit easier.
