Final Fantasy 7 Remake Delayed

April is starting to look a little packed.

Final Fantasy VII Remake producer Yoshinori Kitase said today that the game will be delayed slightly. Final Fantasy 7 Remake was originally slated to be released on March 3. Now, it will instead be released on April 10. This comes via a press release sent out Kitase and the development team at Square Enix.

This sad news comes roughly a week after the still unannounced demo for Final Fantasy 7 Remake was leaked. There are already...

New Character Focused Trailer and Screens for Resident Evil 3 Remake

When you smile...

When you think of Resident Evil 3, you probably think of the characters of Jill Valentine and the ever persistent Nemesis. You may even think of Carlos, whom you do spend a bit of time playing as after a certain story beat in the original. However, there are a number of other characters that were in the original that are maybe not as memorable. They are, nonetheless, still vital to the story and will obviously show up in the Resident Evil 3 remake that Capcom is working...

PlayStation is Officially Ditching E3 2020

A surprise move with the PlayStation 5 mere months away from release.

In late 2018, Sony announced that they would not participate in E3 2019. Today, history repeats itself as Sony has once again announced that they will not be participating in E3 2020. For the second year in a row, Sony and their PlayStation lineup will be a no-show at, what used to be, one of the largest industry events of the year.

Sony has been present at every previous E3 up until 2019. They have...

Nvidia Announces 360Hz Monitor for Competitive Gaming

Nvidia showed of a new 1080p, 360Hz monitor at CES.

When it comes to monitors, more is usually better, so long as you aren't talking about response times at least. More resolution means more pixels which means better image quality. More Hertz (Hz) means higher refresh rates which means the gameplay animations are smoother. Of course, to get these high resolutions or refresh rates, you need a powerful system that can support them.

If you do have a beefy system and you feel...

Private Matches for Battlefield V Finally Arrive Next Week

But they won't be called Private Matches.

DICE announced that their planned Private Matches feature is finally coming to Battlefield V. It will arrive on all platforms on December 9, but they won't be called Private Matches. Instead, DICE is calling them Community Games.

I can only imagine that the Battlefield V community is having some very mixed feelings right about now. There are probably wars being waged right now on Battlefield forums and subreddits between those...

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Out Today on Consoles

Console owners can now play the game reviewers were accused of not playing.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is now available for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Now those console players can (maybe) enjoy the game that critics "didn't play." This is at least according to former Assassin's Creed developer and creator of Ancestors Patrice D├ęsilets.

However, that's not the purpose of today's news. Today, we're talking just about today's launch of the game...

  • Song of Horror Coming to PS4 and Xbox in Q2 2020

Song of Horror Coming to PS4 and Xbox in Q2 2020

A single-player horror game with permadeath is coming in 2020 to consoles.

Song of Horror offers up a fairly unique spin on the old horror game tropes. Unlike many other single-player horror experiences, when death takes your character in this one, they're gone for good. Today, Raiser Games and Protocol Games announced that their take on the survival horror genre will be launching on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Q2 2020.

This announcement arrives just a few days ahead...

EA Quietly Added Snoop Dogg to NHL 20 Today

Don't look at me, I'm just as bewildered as you are.

NHL 20 from EA Sports was updated today. On any other day this would be quickly ignored. However, today? Today sees the addition of Snoop Dogg as both an announcer and a player.

Why? Reasons beyond "because" or "because money" simply elude me. I don't even see any announcement about this addition on the official NHL game website. The official EA Sports NHL Twitter does have a couple of mentions concerning...

  • DICE Nerfed the TTK Yet Again in Battlefield V

DICE Nerfed the TTK Yet Again in Battlefield V

Almost one year later and DICE is repeating the same exact mistakes.

Back on December 12, 2018, DICE decided to adjust the TTK (Time To Kill) for weapons in Battlefield V. A lot of the changes made weapons a fair bit less effective at actually taking out enemies. DICE said that they found that their "wider player base was dying too fast." That is to say, the shorter TTK wasn't too friendly for new players. To say that the core Battlefield community hated the changes is probably...

Phil Spencer Already Took the Next-gen Xbox Home

Some people get all the perks.

We may still be about a year away from the release of the next-gen consoles from both PlayStation and Microsoft, but that doesn't mean they don't already exist in some form. To that end, the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, coyly announced this evening that he brought his Project Scarlett console home with him this week.

Spencer obviously held back on providing many details on his new hardware. He did state how Scarlett has become his primary...

  • A New Outlast Game was Just Announced

A New Outlast Game was Just Announced

No, it's not a VR game.

Despite the inclusion of what appears to be some weird VR goggles on the announcement image, the next Outlast game is not, in fact, a VR horror game. This is a point that developer Red Barrels has had to state repeatedly on their brief announcement for The Outlast Trials.

While it may not be a VR game, it isn't exactly going to be Outlast 3. The Outlast Trials will be a co-op horror game set in the same universe as the previous two games....

Dead Cells 'The Bad Seed' DLC Arrives Early 2020

New content for one of the best action titles is coming at an affordable price.

In Q1 2020, Motion Twin and Evil Empire will release The Bad Seed DLC for Dead Cells. This content includes two new biomes, new monsters, new weapons, and "an exceedingly creepy boss battle." If this new content is even half as good as the base game, fans will be in for a real treat.

The Bad Seed DLC will introduce new path choices early on in a playthrough to ensure that all players,...
