Critical Hit Games and PLAION announced Nobody Wants to Die this week. This game will be "an interactive noir story that explores immortality and the dangers of transhumanism set in a dystopian, futuristic New York City." Nobody Wants to Die is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game is expected to be out later this year.
Nobody Wants to Die is being built with Unreal Engine 5. Despite the impressive announcement trailer (seen below), we don't really have a solid idea on how this game will play, or even what sort of genre it will be. Saying that it's an "interactive noir story" is quite ambiguous and could range from a simple point and click adventure to a full-blown open-world FPS.
This will be the first title developed by Critical Hit Games. The studio formed in 2020 and is made up of some industry veterans who have worked on various, unspecified AAA franchises.
