MLB The Show is No Longer a PlayStation Exclusive

Soon, MLB The Show will be available on more than just Sony's platforms.

It has just been announced that starting as soon as 2021's release, MLB The Show will no longer be a PlayStation platform exclusive. Though other platforms have not yet been specified, both the official Nintendo and Xbox Twitter accounts were quick to comment on this new development.

For the past dozen or so years, MLB The Show has been developed by San Diego Studio, a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment. Sony has also had the exclusive rights to develop and publish...

New 2K Studio Confirmed to be Working on Next BioShock Game

The first project for the new Cloud Chamber is the next entry in the BioShock series.

2K just announced today that they have opened up a new game development studio under their publishing umbrella. The new studio is called Cloud Chamber and will have not one but two different locations for their operations. The team will operate both out of 2K's San Francisco Bay Area HQ in Novato, CA in addition to a new location in Montreal, Quebec. This marks the first Canadian office for 2K.

The other big surprise today is the fact that Cloud Chamber has...

DICE Nerfed the TTK Yet Again in Battlefield V

Almost one year later and DICE is repeating the same exact mistakes.

Back on December 12, 2018, DICE decided to adjust the TTK (Time To Kill) for weapons in Battlefield V. A lot of the changes made weapons a fair bit less effective at actually taking out enemies. DICE said that they found that their "wider player base was dying too fast." That is to say, the shorter TTK wasn't too friendly for new players. To say that the core Battlefield community hated the changes is probably a massive understatement.

So, DICE tried to find a compromise...

Resident Evil 3 Remake Cover Art Leaked

Features a look at Jill, Carlos, and Nemesis.

We seem to have yet another leak on our hands today. This time it's for the still not officially announced remake of Resident Evil 3. It seems as though the cover art for this totally not real game was found on the servers for the PlayStation Store.

A games tracker feature on Gamstat quickly embeded the images from the PlayStation Store and thus made them visible publicly. Since then the images were pulled from being publicly accessible on the PlayStation Store. It's a good thing Gematsu saved the...

  • Titanfall 3 is Not in Development, Confirms Respawn

Titanfall 3 is Not in Development, Confirms Respawn

Questions about the "true" future of the Titanfall franchise were raised beginning this past weekend when we first caught wind of Apex Legends, the latest game from Respawn Entertainment and the latest title to be set in the Titanfall universe. One of the biggest questions was whether or not Apex Legends, a newly released and free-to-play battle royale title, was a phoenix rising from the ashes of Titanfall 3 or if Titanfall 3 was still coming.

Sadly, it's not great news. Respawn Entertainment confirmed that Apex Legends is all there is right...

  • First Trailer for Chernobylite - New Sci-Fi Horror from The Farm 51

First Trailer for Chernobylite - New Sci-Fi Horror from The Farm 51

The Farm 51, developer on the recently released into Early Access title, World War 3, just announced a new sci-fi horror title. It's called Chernobylite and it is an upcoming sci-fi survival-horror title that centers around the Chernobyl disaster.

Chernobylite doesn't have a release date just yet, nor are we even sure what platforms it'll be released on. I'm guessing it will appear on PC, but the digital retailer is pretty much anybody's guess at this point. You can check out the official Chernobylite website for yourself, but it's in Polish and really...

Collaboration Announced Between Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XV

Earlier today we passed along some fresh information about the Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, the upcoming expansion for the popular MMORPG. Square Enix wasn't done yet though because they also announced a special collaboration between Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XV. This content will see various elements from Final Fantasy XV coming to Final Fantasy XIV starting in mid-April.

Notably, you will see Noctis and his car, the Regalia, showing up the MMO. ...

  • Respawn Launches Apex Legends, a Free-to-Play Battle Royale Set in the Titanfall Universe

As expected, a new battle royale game from the Titanfall developer, Respawn Entertainment, was just released for the PC via Origin, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It's called Apex Legends and while it does away with the Titans, it still retains much of the parkour style running and traversal that fans of the series love.

Players will select one of eight different "Legends" that all have unique abilities. As with most battle royale style games, the last team standing at the end is the winner. Teams can be made up of to three players.

  • The Walking Dead: The Final Season Episode 4 Arrives March 26

The Walking Dead: The Final Season Episode 4 Arrives March 26

The fourth and final episode for The Walking Dead: The FInal Season will be released on March 26 from Skybound Games. This date is also the day in which the physical release hits store shelves.

Episode 4, entitled "Take Us Back," will bring Clementine's journey to its end. What do you think the odds are that they let her live at the end of the series, or will they pull a Lee on us? At the rate this franchise has gone, I'd say it's about 40/60, not in her favor.

If you're going to PAX East in Boston from March 28-31, you can check...

  • Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers Expansion Arrives July 2

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers Expansion Arrives July 2

The Shadowbringers expansion for Final Fantasy XIV is slated to be released on July 2. Square Enix provided this news today alongside some fresh information about the expansion.

For instance, did you know that the Viera will be a new playable race? It's true. You may recall them as the tall, rabbit-eared race from Final Fantasy XII. There is also a new Gunbreaker job coming. Perhaps the coolest news revealed is the fact that Yoko Taro has designed a NieR themed alliance raid for the expansion. It's called YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse.

    Here is...

  • 2018 Games of the Year

    2018 Games of the Year

A week or two ago I took you through some of the games I felt were the worst video games in 2018. There were a variety of reasons included for why those games made that list, ranging from the games just being broken to the games just being boring.

Today, we're going in the opposite direction. Today, we are going to look at some of the best games of 2018. The list, with one exception is in no real particular order. I will try to keep it brief since this is probably already a month out of date by the time this goes live. I only include games that I played...

  • Apex Legends - A Free-to-Play Titanfall Battle Royale Game Coming Out this Monday

This weekend's rumor of a free-to-play Titanfall branded battle royale game sure picked up traction in a hurry. It first seemed to originate from a YouTube channel with a less than stellar reputation. However, since then it seems that other sources are now coming forth to say that "yes, there is actually some merit to this rumor."

Apparently, a free-to-play Titanfall battle royale game will be released this Monday. The release will happen on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 at the same time. It will be released alongside a small media blitz...

  • An Official Groundhog Day VR Game was Just Announced

An Official Groundhog Day VR Game was Just Announced

The original Groundhog Day movie came out back in 1993. It starred the always fantastic Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell. It was written and directed by Egon himself, Harold Ramis (may he rest in peace).

The premise was simple: A weatherman (Murray) is stuck in Punxsutawney, PA doomed to repeat February 2, otherwise known as "Groundhog Day," for all eternity. It was part comedy, part depressing realizations, and part romance all rolled into a single film set in one location and on one day.

And now here in 2019, an official spiritual...

Cyberpunk Thriller '>observer_' Arrives on Nintendo Switch February 7

One of my favorite games from 2017, Observer (stylized as >observer_), is coming to at least one more platform. That platform is none other than the Nintendo Switch. On February 7, the cyberpunk world of Observer will put your detective skills to the test for $29.99.

Observer was developed by Bloober Team, the Indie team that also developed Layers of Fear, which I also greatly enjoyed. The game is already out for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 if those are your preferred platform. ...
