Review: FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One

The best feeling controller I've ever used.

Much like its FightPad sibling, the Fusion Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One is also an officially licensed product from Microsoft. That is about where the similarities end between these two drastically different peripherals. Where the FightPad is focused on just one specific genre, the Fusion Pro is built to take on all types of games.

This controller features a soft touch plastic faceplate, rubberized back, metallic accent rings, the same snap-lock USB cable from the FightPad, a 3.5mm audio jack on...

Review: FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One

A design blast from the past.

About a month ago, we brought you news on some new controllers coming out from PowerA. Specifically, the news was about the company's new FUSION Pro controllers and their FUSION FightPad offerings. At the same time, we were offered the opportunity to review these controllers.

Over the past month, I have put both the black FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One and the FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One through their paces. Of the two, I have spent far more time with the Pro controller, but you can read about that...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Does Away with Prestige Levels

New progression system details revealed.

A new blog focused on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare went up today that talks about the progression changes that were made for this year's release. First off, there are no more Prestige levels. Players will be able to earn 55 base levels and 100 additional Officer Ranks in each season of play.

This news comes hot on the heels of word that Modern Warfare is doing away with paid map packs and loot boxes.

Each weapon now also has 100 earnable camo patterns and an average of 50 attachments. You...

Review: GreedFall (PC)

A long and thrilling journey.

GreedFall is a game that filled a gaping void I did not know I had for a new action-RPG experience. Though it lacks some of the polish you would expect from a major game release these days, the game still rewards the player with fun and varied combat, complex story beats, and an overall experience that should make even the veterans at BioWare sit up and take notice. For those of you that have been on the fence about picking up GreedFall, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not go pick it up right now.

Blizzard Issues Insultingly Pathetic Statement About Blitzchung Suspension and Reasoning

The cowards just doubled down.

Taking a page from politicians and businesses that know late on Friday is the best time to release news that you are positively ashamed to share, Blizzard has finally issued a statement about the recent ban on Blitzchung and two Hearthstone casters.

Before we get into it all, let's just read what they have to say. Here is Blizzard's full statement as it currently appears on their website.

Despite a reduction of six months for the suspension, Blizzard is still punishing Blitzchung. The...

  • Ghostbusters: The Video Game Gets the Remaster Treatment

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Gets the Remaster Treatment

    Bustin bustin bustin bustin bustin.

Saber Interactive announced an HD re-release of the action-adventure title that was a bit of a sleeper hit after it was initially released in 2009. I am of course talking about Ghostbusters: The Video Game, which was originally released on platforms such as the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, and PC. Today, Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered was officially announced and will be released later this year to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the first film's release.

    The game still offers...

We know already that Microsoft is readying a PC specific version of the Xbox Game Pass. You can find out more on that right here. However, the company also revealed that they plan on bringing more of their titles to even more PC storefronts in the near future.

We already know that Halo: The Master Chief Collection is coming to PC via Steam and the Windows 10 Store. Today, it has been revealed that Microsoft is already planning to bring more than 20 Xbox Game Studios titles to Steam. This...

  • Xbox Game Pass Announced for PC

Xbox Game Pass Announced for PC

I guess technically it would be the 'PC Game Pass' then.

Microsoft announced a new Game Pass today. Unlike the current Xbox Game Pass, this one is tailored specifically for the PC owners out there. Microsoft says that they have designed a Game Pass experience that specifically meets the needs of PC gamers and PC game developers.

The Xbox Game Pass for PC, but it will give PC gamers access to a library of over 100 PC games on Windows 10. Some of the developers that are already on board with the Pass include Bethesda, Devolver Digital, SEGA, Deep...

  • Space Ops VR is Out Now

Space Ops VR is Out Now

A new VR co-op shooter has entered the game.

Space Ops VR is out today from publisher Fibrum and developer Devcube Studio. The game, which is available normally for $14.99 enlists players into the Space Ops, an "elite cadre of first-responders tasked with protecting humanity in outer space." There is a launch sale price available, which knocks a hefty 25% off of the previously mentioned price.

This one is compatible with the Vive, Oculus, and Windows Mixed Reality headsets. I am going to assume that this includes all Oculus Rift branded...

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Revealed - Crossplay, New Engine, October Release, No Season Pass

Third time's the charm for Modern Warfare.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has just been officially announced and revealed for the third-ish time in the history of the world. There is a soft reboot of the Modern Warfare story for the Call of Duty franchise and should not be confused with the original release of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2007 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered in 2016.

This Modern Warfare is slated to be released on October 25, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The PC release will once again be sold through...

  • BioWare Breaks Silence - Launches Anthem Test Server and 1.2.0 Update

BioWare Breaks Silence - Launches Anthem Test Server and 1.2.0 Update

It's the first new Anthem news in over a month.

If you were to ask BioWare how games as a service (GAAS) was working out for Anthem you may be met with some anxious tugging at collars and cold sweats in response. For well over a month, the EA owned studio has been radio silent on just what in the world was going on with the game.

May mostly came and went without so much as a peep about the big Cataclysm event that was originally intended to begin this month. In fact, there wasn't really a peep about anything else either. The studio had gone dark...

  • Total War: Three Kingdoms Sells More than 1 Million Units in First week

Total War: Three Kingdoms Sells More than 1 Million Units in First week

China's growing market is a big reason why.

Total War: Three Kingdoms has become the franchise's fastest-selling game. In its first week of being available for purchase, the game sold more than one million copies with a peak concurrent player count nearing 200,000 people at one point.

A big reason for this game's massive success is due, in large, to the rising popularity of PC gaming in China. Both fans and journalists in China have said that Total War: Three Kingdom is one of the "more remarkable Three Kingdom games they've seen."...

It's like getting three games for the price of none.

Sony revealed the free PlayStation Plus titles coming for June 2019. Those with an active PlayStation Plus subscription will get the following two titles for the PlayStation 4. They are Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and Sonic Mania.

For those not in the know, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is actually two games bundled together. Those games being Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and the vastly superior Borderlands 2. It's almost as if you're getting three games for the price of free*...

  • Mercury Map Released Early as DICE Pulls Two Game Modes from Battlefield V

Mercury Map Released Early as DICE Pulls Two Game Modes from Battlefield V

DICE giveth and they taketh away.

First, the good news for Battlefield V fans. Today, DICE released the new Mercury map a day earlier than expected. It seems as though today's release doesn't actually require any additional client update as it was included in the last major update from last week. That's awesome! You can dive in, perhaps literally, to the new Mercury map right now on all platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

What you cannot do right now is play the Frontlines or Domination modes anymore. Ah yes, here's the "bad news"...

  • Destiny 2 'Season of Opulence' Details Revealed

Destiny 2 'Season of Opulence' Details Revealed

It sounds good on paper at least.

Bungie released some of the first details today for the upcoming Season of Opulence content for Destiny 2: Forsaken. As you expect, there's a bunch of new gear to earn, new activities to do, a new raid to... raid, and even a new 6-player activity called The Menagerie.

The Season of Opulence is the third and presumably final piece of content slated to be released as part of the second annual season pass. Will there be a third one? Or will the next release just be Destiny 3? Only Bungie knows. There are some additional...
