Sega Considering More PC Ports After Success of Persona 4 Golden

Persona 4 Golden and other titles are doing well on PC.

Sega says that their recent PC ports of some rather high-profile games have proven to be a great success for the company. Sales of games like Persona 4 Golden, Yakuza 0, and even Catherine have been so successful that Sega is considering bringing more games over to the PC platform. The biggest push for Sega seems to be the surprise success of Persona 4 Golden above all else.

Sega president Haruki Satomi and senior...

Why not just make the entire game exclusive at this point?

Sony has announced some additional "PlayStation advantages" to buying Marvel's Avengers on the PlayStation platform. These "advantages" are on top of the fact that only the PlayStation platform will have access to Spider-Man as a playable hero. These are also in addition to the exclusive beta period for PlayStation owners, the first of which begins on August 7.

Microsoft Confirms Free Online Multiplayer for Halo Infinite

Confirmed after a short bout as a rumor.

Microsoft confirmed the short-lived rumor that Halo Infinite would have free multiplayer. Not only that, but they also confirmed that Halo Infinite, at least the multiplayer component, will support 120fps on Xbox Series X. I'm sure that will also hold true for the PC release as well. Sorry Xbox One owners, you can't handle all those delicious frames. ...

Valve Cracks Down on Using VPNs to Buy Games Cheaper

This should hopefully lead to more fair regional pricing.

For several years now, users were able to make use of a loophole that allowed them to buy games for cheaper if purchased from certain regions. Users were able to trick Steam into thinking they lived in one region where a price of a game was more favorable to them due to exchange rates. This had the unfortunate side-effect of developers and publishers having to increase prices in these regions to put a stop to those using VPNs...

PSA: The Steam Summer Sale 2018 is Here

Though the Steam Store seems to be up and down more than a uh... er... roller coaster (let's just go with that), I will tell you now that the Steam Summer Sale for 2018 is now underway. That's probably why the store keeps bringing up errors every so often. It's a Steam sale. If you've been around for the past couple of years, you know what the deal is here. If not, you should know that there are no daily deals. There are no flash sales. If you see something on sale from now until July ...

Gears 5 Built "From the Ground Up for PC"

In a recent interview between Rod Fergusson from The Coalition and WIRED UK, Fergusson spilled a few of the beans on what PC players can expect from the PC release of Gears 5. One of the major points of interest is the fact that Fergusson says Gears 5 is being built "from the ground up" for the PC crowd.
"Having a game that we're building from the ground up for PC [means players] will be able to take advantage of all the types of different PC optimisation options you can have," Fergusson

Babylon's Fall Announced by Square Enix and PlatinumGames

The duo of Square Enix and PlatinumGames announced Babylon's Fall for the PlayStation 4 and PC. This was actually announced at E3 last week but I am a terrible person and seemingly had this one slip under my radar. You just read pretty much everything that has been revealed about the game so far. The only other thing we know is that it will be released at some point in 2019. If it doesn't come out in Autumn of 2019, then somebody somewhere screwed up royally. ...
