Gearbox tweeted out this afternoon that due to the unfortunate circumstances involving adverse weather in Texas last month, the Borderlands 3 Director's Cut DLC has been delayed. The add-on content was supposed to release next week on March 18th. Instead, it will now be pushed back until April 8th.

The Director's Cut won't really do much to change the game. In fact, the base game will remain relatively untouched, despite the name of the DLC indicating otherwise. Instead, the Director's Cut will add in some missions involving young Ava. There will also be some new cosmetics and items to acquire. I would not go into this DLC expecting a full expansion experience.

Due to challenges arising from the severe weather that impacted Texas last month, the Director's Cut ad on will now launch on April 8.

Thankfully, all of our team members and their families are safe and healthy, but work on Director's Cut with unavoidably disrupted and with alternately decided to shift the release date to ensure we deliver the best possible experience.

We appreciate your understanding, and we're excited for you to play a Director's Cut when it releases next month.
