Pro Player Saved by Dropped Bomb in CS:GO ESL Match
In an ESL Pro League match between Astralis and Natus Vincere (Na`Vi), a player was saved by the most unlikely of objects: The bomb. Valve added in a bonus Quest today to the Winter 2016 Battle Pass. Players can earn up to seven Crimson Parcels by completing the new Path of the Blossom quest.

ESL Pro League Bumps Up 2016 Counter-Strike Prize Pool to $1.5 Million
ESL Pro League is bumping up the prize pool for their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive league by a factor of 50%! That means the 2016 season will include a hefty prize pool sitting at $1.5 million (USD). Not only that, but they are looking to show tournaments on television, not just online.

Half-Life Writer Marc Laidlaw Departs from Valve
Marc Laidlaw, the man that helped to bring the entire Half-Life and Portal universes to life, has retired from Valve. The confirmation came after a Reddit user in the Half-Life subreddit decided to contact Laidlaw about just what was going on with Half-Life 3.

New Hand Models Included in Surprise CS:GO Visual Upgrade Update
