Last month, Valve banned seven Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players that were found to be involved in high level eSports match fixing during CEVO Professional Season 5. Valve to Give Advanced VR Rendering Talk at GDC 2015
Valve looks to have a big showing at GDC 2015 in March. Specifically, their VR team will have a "lot to share" with those in attendance. Alex Vlachos, a graphics programmer at Valve, noted that he's quite excited for his talk on "Advanced VR Rendering" at GDC.

Valve Dishes Out Bans for CS:GO Match Fixing and Betting
About a week ago, word broke about a number of professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players and teams being involved in match rigging at CEVO Professional Season 5. Well, despite their cries of being "innocent," Valve's own investigation said otherwise.

Valve just announced that the ESL One Katowice 2015 tournament for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will have a nice $250,000 prize pool. It's not an actual pool that the winners can swim in, but that's still a lot of money.

Word is starting to circulate this week that various professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams were involved in match rigging at CEVO Professional Season 5 back in August 2014.
