TheMexicanRunner Beats Battletoads Turbo Tunnel Blindfolded without Dying
Beating Battletoads in 15.5 minutes is one thing. It's certainly no small feat and it is precisely what speedrunner TheMexicanRunner did this week at ESA Summer. That's quite impressive as it is, but he decided to one-up himself right after his run. TheMexicanRunner played through the dreaded Turbo Tunnel level of Battletoads without dying. Not only that, but he did so while blinded by a bag situated over his head. The bag had an adorable cat print on it. Here is TheMexicanRunner pla... -

Fallout 76 Beta Announced for October, But Don't Expect an Invite on the First Day
Bethesda has finally revealed some additional details about their upcoming beta for Fallout 76. Sorry, the Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. (Break-it Early Test Application) as it's being called.
First off, we now know that the B.E.T.A. is scheduled for October, with the Xbox One version getting first dibs. PlayStation 4 and PC players will get access to the beta shortly after. We obviously don't have an exact date yet for any of these, only that it will be in October. This means that the... -

OnRush Devs at Codemasters Hit with Layoffs
Codemasters has reportedly laid off a number of employees from the OnRush development team after it was widely reported that sales have been adequate at best.
The team was previously known as Evolution Studios. They were acquired by Codemasters in 2016 after being dropped by their previous owner, Sony. While working as Evolution Studios, the studio created the often delayed but fairly well-reviewed Driveclub. They were also the team that brought the world the MotorStorm extreme... -

ESA Summer 2018 Marathon - Speedrunning to Save the Children
It's a marathon filled weekend, because we have another one to tell you about. The European Speedrunner Assembly (ESA) is holding the aptly named ESA Summer 2018 marathon this week. Starting today and in the days ahead, a bunch of speedrunners from all over will be running games in an effort to raise money for Save the Children.
The event started earlier today and is expected to wrap up on Saturday, July 28. Now here is where things get interesting. ESA has not one but two streams... -

Mario Marathon 2018 - Playing Super Mario Odyssey for Charity
Another Mario Marathon is upon us and you know what that means? That's right, it's time to play a ton of Mario all to raise money for the Child's Play Charity.
This year, the team is doing things a bit differently. Instead of playing a bunch of different Mario games, they have instead opted to go for an 880 Moon run of Super Mario Odyssey for the Nintendo Switch. This also seems to mean that instead of running games for roughly an entire week, they will instead wrap up the marathon... -

F1 2018 Gameplay Video with Nico Hulkenberg
Codemasters released a new gampelay video for F1 2018. The video features Nico Hulkenberg from the Renault Sport Formula One Team.
I'm assuming F1 fans recognize the name. I just like it because it looks like a pretty cool name. F1 2018 will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on August 24, 2018.
The return of the German Grand Prix to the calendar for this season sees Hockenheimring included in F1 2018 along with Circuit Paul Ricard, which features in the... -

Introducing Yooka-Laylee, from the popular 3D platformer by Playtonic Games. The buddy-duo, Yooka (the green one) and Laylee (the wisecracking bat with the red nose) join the brawl complete with the moveset learned in their epic adventures!... -

Voldo Also Confirmed for Soulcalibur VI
Another non-surprise roster confirmation for Soulcalibur VI is Voldo. Voldo is one of only five characters to have been in every Soulcalibur game since the beginning of the franchise.
Voldo was the right-hand man to Vercci, an arms dealer with the nickname “Merchant of Death”, and was tasked to protect the Money Pit, where all of Vercci’s treasures were kept after his death. After spending years in the dark depths of the Money Pit, Voldo lost his eyesight but gained a heightened... -
