And yet, there is a catch.
Young Lara Croft reaching for a gun as a fire rages around her and in the background.

The Tomb Raider reboot came out in 2013. In 2014, a remastered version of Tomb Raider was released under the name of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition.

Crystal Dynamics developed and released 2013's Tomb Raider. It featured a younger Lara Croft dealing with some unfortunate events on a dangerous island. That game came out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. In 2014, a "remastered" release of the game came out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. That game was called Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. It featured a few graphical improvements and also changed the face model for Lara to more closely resemble Lara's actor (while also sadly removing most emotion from her face). The PC never saw this remastered release.

Just this week, some ten years after it initially came out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition finally released on PC.

Oh, but there is a catch!

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is available on PC but only through the Microsoft Store. It was very quietly released on PC this week with precisely zero announcement or promotion. From what can be gathered, the release on the Microsoft Store is due to the game being a "Play Anywhere" title. This means that those that own Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on Xbox can download and play this PC version if they desire.

Maybe this quiet release is for the best though as users who have actually played this PC Definitive Edition release have encountered several issues. So far, players have encountered missing animations, inconsistent or outright broken physics, performance issues, and so on.

There is absolutely no word on if the Definitive Edition will get any patches released to address these rather severe issues. In fact, no developer or publisher is saying anything about this release at all. That also means that a possible Steam release is up in the air. I would perhaps suggest sticking with the current non-Definitive Edition version of Tomb Raider that is available through Steam. It may also be wise to pick up that original release in the off chance a Steam release of the Definitive Edition happens and replaces the old version on Steam in the future. You just never know.
