A Total War Saga: TROY Announcement Trailer

The official announcement of a new Total War game is here.

In a shock to nobody, the leak that came out literally just yesterday has been proven to be true. Everybody pretend to be shocked! A reveal trailer is out today for A Total War Saga: TROY. I believe the only thing that was incorrect in the early leak was the order of the words in the game's title.

This new entry in the Total War franchise takes inspiration from Homer's Iliad. As such, you can expect there to be a big emphasis on the Trojan War and a big emphasis on time-appropriate features, roles, weapons, and...

Rockstar Now Has Their Own PC Games Launcher

Get GTA: San Andreas for free if you use it.

Rockstar now has their own game launcher on the PC. The development studio quietly released this new launcher a short time ago today. They are attempting to entice users to download and use the installer by giving away a free copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for a limited time.

Interesting enough, the Rockstar Games Launcher includes some features that took other launchers a little bit of time to add after release. This launcher includes cloud save support, a shop, and automatic updates. The prices on the store seem to...

Watch Almost an Hour of Death Stranding Gameplay

A lot of gameplay footage that may finally provide a lot of answers.

The marketing for the Kojima Productions game, Death Stranding, has left consumers with more questions than answers. It's a game from the mind of Hideo Kojima, so of course the marketing was going to be odd. The problem was, there are a lot of people that just have no idea about what the game was even about even after the numerous trailers.

Maybe sitting down and watching 50 minutes of gameplay will help clear up that confusion. If that doesn't work, then maybe a breakdown of the gameplay footage from...

Final Fantasy VII Remake Tokyo Game Show 2019 Trailer

The trailer is at the bottom after these boring words.

Square Enix showed off an all new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake this week at the Tokyo Game Show. The new trailer offers a fresh look at gameplay, the slums of Midgar, and a peak at the mini-games and summons. Midgar is home to the Shinra Electric Power Company. This kind of totally evil company is in conflict with Avalanche, a resistance group fighting to keep their planet alive. You will also get your first look at some of the Shinra operatives known as The Turks.

Square Enix also included their new artwork...

Cube World is Coming to Steam

Let me take you back to the year 2013...

In 2013, a little game called Cube World came out in an "alpha" release. It was a cute, stylized adventure-RPG that offered a ton of freedom, battles, exploration, and more. A big appeal of the alpha was being able to have all of these adventures with your friends in one world. To its credit, the limited content of the alpha was quite enjoyable but the promise of bigger and better was always just around the corner. The problem came when it was just never updated! Eventually the developer went dark.

We would sometimes...

  • Looking Ahead: 2016's Most Anticipated Video Games

Looking Ahead: 2016's Most Anticipated Video Games

2015 is dead and over with. Hell, we're already a month deep into 2016 at this point. Even still, we have about 11 months of game releases to look forward to. What better time than right now to put up a quick entry about what games I'm looking forward to in 2016? These all aren't games that I'm like dying to play. These are a mix of games that I'm super excited to play and also some that I'm merely interested in seeing how they turn out for one reason or another.

Just for the hell of it, I'll even include the games that came out in January since I'm so terribly slow on this sort of thing. The January games include games I want to play and those that I have already played. All games listed below come from Wikipedia and all dates are subject to change. ...

  • Lost Journey Out on iOS Courtesy of Asia

Lost Journey Out on iOS Courtesy of Asia

Asia makes some pretty good products. One of them is Lost Journey, a new iOS game from SoulGame, which is a game development studio based in Asia. See how I went full circle there? Lost Journey has already won some awards and received some award nominations which include 2014's "First Prize of Microsoft Imagine Cup" and a nomination for "Best China IndiePlay game" in 2015.

It's out now on iOS here in the States, so you should probably go check it out. It's only $0.99 (USD) from the Apple App Store. It looks like a fun puzzle/platform game with a unique twist and I'm a sucker for games like that.

  • "Haunted" and "House" Focus of Trademark Legal Battle Between Atari and Hazy Dreams of Infinity

Could we maybe go like one damn week in 2016 without having to waste time on these idiotic trademark legal battles? This time it's Atari and Hazy Dreams of Infinity who are about to go toe to toe at an upcoming United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) hearing (February 26). All of it will be over the words "Haunted" and "House."

Atari apparently holds a trademark for those words due to some old Haunted House games, the first of which seems to have come out in the early 80s. It was later revamped in 2010, with a new installment coming in 2014 that everyone pretty much hated.

Hazy Dreams of Infinity has a game called Haunted House Tycoo...

  • New Invention Elite Skill Added to RuneScape

New Invention Elite Skill Added to RuneScape

Jagex Games Studio added the new "Invention" skill today in RuneScape. It is apparently the game's "first Elite Skill." Sounds fancy!
Invention allows high-level players to augment and customize existing weapons and armor with a wide selection of perks. This new skill tier differs from those long established in RuneScape, as Invention is not immediately unlocked for players. Instead, this skill must be earned by reaching level 80 in other skills, namely Smithing, Crafting and Divination. The introduction of Invention makes it possible for players to optimize their favorite weapons - making them killers in all situ

Some of the cards can be seen below. Sure, there are your usual ones like "I Pika-choose You" but beyond that, there are some very interesting ones.
