DICE Shares What They Learned from the Battlefield 2042 Beta

Specialists are still here to stay though.

DICE has a new and rather lengthy write-up about what they learned from the recent Battlefield 2042 beta that took place. First and foremost, the Specialists are here to stay. You may want to get used to them now because the "traditional" classes as you have come to know them from previous titles are no more.

DICE says that they "see Specialists as the next evolution of the classic Battlefield class system that will...

Call of Duty's New Anti-cheat has Apparently Leaked Online Just One Day After Being Announced

It's already being reverse engineered by cheat makers.

Over the span of just three days, we had Activision issuing a threat against cheaters, the reveal of Ricochet, the new kernel-level anti-cheat coming to Call of Duty, and now today that anti-cheat has apparently already been leaked. Not only that, but Ricochet is apparently already being reverse engineered by "pay to cheat" (P2C) developers.

Ricochet as it is known was announced just yesterday for Call of...

Activision Blizzard Lawsuits Hit a Major Snag

There may be a conflict of interests that are muddying the waters.

Stick with me on this, because this is probably going to be a little confusing. At the end of September 2021, Activision Blizzard settled a lawsuit brought on by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) for the lowly amount of $18 million (USD). This lawsuit would be used to "compensate and make amends" for employees impacted by the rampant sexual discrimination and harassment that has been...

Over 125GB of Twitch data has been leaked online.

An anonymous hacker has just leaked a 125GB torrent of hacked and stolen Twitch data on Wednesday, October 6. This is allegedly just the first part of a larger data breach. According to a report from VGC, the leak was done in an attempt to "foster more disruption and competition in the online video streaming space" since Twitch's "community is a disgusting toxic cesspool."

According to reports, the leaked...

Battlefield 2042 Beta Begins October 6

It's coming.

DICE and EA finally lifted the lid on information concerning the upcoming open beta for Battlefield 2042. It has been a long time coming and it's great to finally get some news about this. I know the fanbase has been getting a little, let's just say antsy, with each day that passed by where we did not hear anything.

In the latest Battlefield Briefing, the team announced that the Beta for Battlefield 2042 will run from October 6 through October 9. Specifically,...

Apparently the console version of Green Hell has some issues that the community feels are going ignored? I'm not 100% sure, but that's...

Chapters 3-5 of Deltarune to Release at Same Time

It will benefit both the dev team and fans.

This past week, Deltarune: Chapter 2 was released and contrary to initial statements, it was released for free to everyone. The wait between Chapter 1's release and Chapter 2's release was quite long. A period of about three years spanned between the release of the first two chapters.

Thankfully, the waits between Chapters 3, 4, and 5 won't be nearly as long. In fact, creator Toby Fox says that he plans to release all three of...

New PS5 Firmware Might Increase Framerates in Some Titles

Don't expect any major miracles though.

The latest big firmware update for the PlayStation 5 was officially released on September 15. With it came the long-awaited ability to install third-party M.2 drives for adding increased storage capacity to your console. This was the update that entered into beta trials back in July.

It seems as though there was another benefit not documented in the changelog. The tech wizards at Digital Foundry discovered that select titles saw...

A Decently Sized Team Fortress 2 Update is Now Available

I guess there is a TF2 team at Valve after all.

Valve just released a fairly chonky update today for Team Fortress 2. This update does not seem to add in any additional content to the game, but rather focuses on bug fixes and updating various pieces of content.

Some of the major points in this update include a fix for an exploit that let players impersonate other Steam accounts, disabling player sprays by default, and some changes to the map cp_snakewater_final1.

  • What is Your Favorite Candy?
    by Shawn Zipay
A little something different for Spooktober.

It's October and you know what that means: Scary costumes, frights, chills, creepy games, spooky movies, and yes, lots of candy.

Despite this being a gaming focused site, let's mix up this month's poll, shall we? Instead of doing the obvious question of asking what your favorite scary game is, let's find out what your favorite Halloween candy might be. Now, there are a LOT of options out there. I'm just going to list some of...
