The company valued at over $3 trillion just closed several game studios.

Arkane Austin, the studio behind Redfall and 2017's Prey, has been shutdown by Microsoft. Tango Gameworks, the studio behind The Evil Within series and the multiple award-winning Hi-Fi Rush, has been shutdown by Microsoft. TikTok Ban Signed Into Law by President Biden

Owner ByteDance has 270 days to sell off TikTok.

On April 24, President Joe Biden signed a foreign aid package that also included a bill that could ban TikTok in the United States. This ban can only be averted if the China-based company that owns TikTok, ByteDance, sells off the popular social media app before the 270 day time limit is up.

This gives ByteDance until January 19, 2025 to sell TikTok. An additional 90 day extension could be offered by President Biden if...

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. Multiple studios across all SIE regions impacted.

Sony just laid off about 900 people across multiple PlayStation studios around the world. These 900 or so laid off employees account for roughly 8% of the total workforce for Sony Interactive Entertainment.

    Hardware Sales Up 100% as PlayStation 4 Again Dominates July NPD

    The July figures are in for the monthly NPD sales figures and the PlayStation 4 is again the best selling hardware for the month. Overall, sales of hardware are up 100% when compared to the same time period in 2013.

    As far as software goes, despite The Last of Us Remastered leading sales, overall sales figures are down 15% from 2013. Combined, both hardware and software sales are up 16% compared to 2013.
