Review: Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition

15 years and a fresh coat of paint later.

Almost 15 years to the day that the original Age of Empires III was released comes the remastered Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition. Love it or hate it, the original certainly left an impression on fans of the franchise. I am not saying all those impressions were necessarily good, but they were impressions none the less.

What we have here is a remastering of one of the more divisive Age of Empires games released. Upon first...

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Delayed

Pre-patch also pushed out to October 13.

Blizzard just said that World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, the next major expansion for their still popular MMORPG, has been delayed. It has been pushed back now until "later this year" with a solid release date not yet revealed. As is typical for these sorts of delays, the delay was an "incredibly difficult decision for the team" but they ultimately feel as though it was the "right decision for the game--and for (the)...

Review: Crysis Remastered Is One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

Maximum meh.

In 2007 the original Crysis was released for the PC. The big question on everyone's mind at the time, and even through to today, is "can your PC run Crysis?" Polytron and Kokoromi have confirmed that they have cancelled their planned release of SUPERHYPERCUBE for Oculus VR following the news that Oculus founder, Palmer Luckey, is a piece of shit (not their words).
You may have seen the news yesterday that ties Oculus Founder Palmer Luckey to Nimble America, a Trump-endorsing organization Luckey started to defame Clinton via "the power of Internet memes". In a political climate as fragile and horrifying as this one, we cannot tacitly end

  • Capcom Rolls Back Latest Street Fighter V PC Update Following Severe Security Issue

Last night, Capcom released a big new update for Street Fighter V. Also added, not contained in the main patch notes, was a "client-side security update" that aimed to serve as an anti-crack solution for the game.

The problem here is that this update added in a method of accessing a user's system at the kernel level. The update put "Capcom.sys" inside the System32 folder. Users discovered a few things about this file and what it does.
