A Nintendo Direct just happened today. Let's look at some of the news that came out of it.

• Okami HD is coming this Summer to the Nintendo Switch. The Switch specific features of this classic includes touchscreen painting plus motion-control painting.

• Dark Souls: Remastered will have a network test on the Switch. This test will also be on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and will take place "soon."

• Oh, there's also going to be a special Solaire of Astora amiibo for the Switch release of Dark Souls: Remastered. It will be sold for $15.99 (USD) and available only through GameStop.


• Little Nightmares Complete Edition is headed to the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop on May 18, 2018. This release includes the game and all of its released DLC content.

• Super Smash Bros. is coming to the Switch this year. The video teaser (shown below) shows that the squidkids from Splatoon will join the fight.


• Luigi's Mansion is getting a remake on the 3DS. It will be released in 2018.

• Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is coming to the Switch on July 13. It is based on the Wii U release but will have some additional levels based on Super Mario Odyssey. A 3DS release was also announced.

• South Park: The Fractured but Whole is hitting Switch on April 24.

• An Octo Expansion for Splatoon 2 will be the first paid DLC for the game. This includes a single-player mode placing you in the shoes of Agent 8 as you make your way through 80 new test facilities. Once complete, you will get to play as an octoling in multiplayer. This DLC will cost $20 (USD) and will be out this Summer.

• Splatoon 2 is also getting some free content in late April. The 3.0 patch will include new outfits, stages, and an "X" rank.


• Undertale is "eventually" coming out on the Switch.

• Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy hits the Switch on July 10. It will also be released on the Xbox One and PC presumably on the same date.

• Hyrule Warriors will be released on the Switch on May 18.

• Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and Bowser Jr.'s Story are getting remake releases on the 3DS. Both will be out in 2019.

• A new trailer was shown off for Mario Tennis Aces. The game will be out on June 22, 2018 for the Switch.
