New 'Experimental' Splinter Cell Game Confirmed by Ubisoft CEO

Open World? GAAS? Mobile? VR?

The emotional rollercoaster that fans of the Splinter Cell series has been on for the past few years has been never ending, has had no chill, and frankly, it's gotten to be a wee bit tiresome. In May of this year, a new Splinter Cell was apparently "confirmed" and then it was later revealed to just be a joke.

Last month, we again heard a rumor that a new Splinter Cell was actually in the works. However, that story from July says that Facebook is financing the game and that it will be a VR only title and exclusive to the Oculus...

Mojang Cancels 'Super Duper Graphics Pack' for Minecraft

Performance issues and engine difficulties were too much to overcome.

Sadly, Mojang announced today that they are cancelling the promised Super Duper Graphics Pack that was originally revealed at E3 2017. This visual overhaul was teased for the game during the annual industry trade show and fans were eager to check it out for themselves.

This was going to be an optional piece of DLC that brought a suite of visual improvements to the Xbox One and PC versions of the game without needing to mod it. Sure, a lot of the visual improvements have been done time and time again...

Call of Duty 2020 Rumored to Be Black Ops Reboot

Next stop: Reboot City.

This year, Call of Duty fans are getting a reboot of the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare title. Next year, fans may get a reboot of the Black Ops series. This is if the latest rumors are to be believed.

The 2020 Call of Duty will either be Call of Duty: Black Ops 5 or simply Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game will be set in the Cold War era and will also include the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

This all comes courtesy of YouTuber TheLongSensation via his Twitter account. While it may be easy to just write this off as some random person...

No Man's Sky Beyond Launch Trailer

Update arrives August 14.

A launch trailer for the massive Beyond update for No Man's Sky was released today by Hello Games. This update is said to be the "culmination of 12 months of work" on what was originally going to be three separate, large updates. Those three updates have been rolled into this massive update.

We already touched upon some of the new features and content coming to the game in our last post. The biggest addition, at least for PC and PlayStation VR owners, is the addition of full VR support for No Man's Sky. There are also some additional...

Solos Finally Coming to Apex Legends

But only for a limited time.

Apex Legends will finally allow introverts to play without worry starting on August 13. A Solos Mode will be introduced into the F2P battle royale game. So far, the game has only really allowed for three-man squads.

The addition of Solos Mode is the good news. The bad news is that this mode will only be added to the game for a limited time. This Solos Mode will run from August 13 through August 27 in Apex Legends. Best get your fill of it while you can, because who knows when or if it will come back afterwards. ...

Dota 2 - The Balance of Power Update is Big

Look, I'm going to be honest with you here. The way this update page is structured for this Dota 2 update kind of hurts my head at 2:30 in the morning. Hell, it would hurt my head if I read it at 2:30PM. I don't know what I'm looking at here. I haven't played Dota in ages so a lot of this doesn't make much sense at all to me. What you should probably do is head on over to the update page for tonight's big Dota 2 patch. Valve is calling it "The Balance of Power Update." I'm assuming there is a lot of changes that drastically alter how the game is played that most veterans will immediately notice. If nothing els...

  • Spend $30 to Boost a Single Character to Level 25 in Destiny

Spend $30 to Boost a Single Character to Level 25 in Destiny

Yes, for roughly half the cost of the game itself, you can pay to boost a single character to level 25 in Destiny. Bungie and Activision, but probably mainly Activision, added a $30 character boost that will allow you to bump one of your characters immediately up to level 25. This obviously allows users to bypass a lot of the actual content in the game since the max level right now is still a lowly 40. Most fans are outraged over this, but not because it's some sort of a "pay-to-win" scheme. Instead, they're mad because it's such a terrible, horrific deal. Seriously, $30 is half the cost of the game and all you...
