Ion Fury Devs Apologize for Numerous Sexist, Homophobic, and Transphobic Remarks

Sweeping changes are promised as a result.

Voidpoint, the studio behind the just released Ion Fury, has apologized for a series of "incidents" wherein multiple developers were found to use transphobic, ableist, homophobic, and sexist language in the game's official Discord channel. This is on top of some homophobic language found within the game itself.

Over the weekend, a thread had popped up on gaming forum ResetEra that showed multiple instances where the developers had made transphobic remarks via Discord. Members of the dev team were also shown to make...

Respawn Apologizes to Ass-hat Gamers for 'Ass-hat' Remarks

Statement issued from Respawn's Vince Zampella.

Respawn's CEO Vince Zampella issued a bit of an apology today after members of the Apex Legends development team called a bunch of toxic ass-hat gamers, well... they called them ass-hats. Donning their biggest surprised Pikachu face possible, these Gamers™ got extra angry when they realized they couldn't just keep dishing it out and not expect some form of retaliation in return. Some continued to throw tantrums, others called for boycots, while still others did their best "I studied the blade" impersonation.

Sony Bought Insomniac Games Today

Get ready for more Spider-Man.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has officially purchased Insomniac Games today. You're probably surprised to hear that the studio that developed last year's PlayStation 4 exclusive Spider-Man wasn't already owned by Sony prior to this week.

Insomniac Games was first started in 1994 and remained an independent game developer for this 25 year span of time. They created Spyro the Dragon, the Ratchet & Clank games, along with the Resistance franchise. All of these franchises were PlayStation exclusives, at least initially. Every so...

Spoiler Alert: Copies of Uncharted 4 Stolen and Sold Early

This is a word of warning to those who wish to remain unspoiled for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End: Copies of the game have both been stolen and sold early to people via sites like eBay. In addition to that some actual retailers that somehow never learned how to read dates are selling the game two weeks ahead of its May 10 release. This means that spoilers are all over the place for the game and this includes a number of gameplay videos.

Sony's Shuhei Yoshida took it upon himself to share the news of the stolen copies of Uncharted 4.
We have some unfortunate news to report that a number of copies of Uncharted 4: A

  • Rumor: Xbox One II Production Started in February

Rumor: Xbox One II Production Started in February

According to a leaked photo that made its way online earlier today, Microsoft has been mass producing a product called the "Xbox One II." Yeah, it's kind of a bad name, we know. The more literal translation, however, seems to be "Xbox One Second Generation" which would mean that this is probably more of a redesign of existing hardware rather than new internals. That is to say, this would be more akin to a "Slim" Xbox One model than anything else.

Some have believed that this would be a new hardware update similar to the rumored PlayStation Neo. Major Nelson said not to read too much into certain rum...

  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Rumored to Include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remaster

If this newly surfaced image is to be believed, it seems as though the "Legacy Edition" of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will also include a remaster of the classic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It's also important to note the November 4 release date on the poster.

The image seems to originate from VideoGamer's David Scammell with a better quality one coming from Charlie Intel.

Now the big questions here are: Is this legit? If it is, will the remaster include the multiplayer component? You know, the part of Modern Warfare that most fans probably want the most....

  • The Legend of Zelda Pushed to 2017, in Development for Wii U and NX

The Legend of Zelda Pushed to 2017, in Development for Wii U and NX

The new Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U has suffered a few setbacks today. First up is word that the game has been pushed to a 2017 release citing quality concerns. Second is the news that the game is now coming for the Nintendo NX in addition to the Wii U version that was previously announced.

Nintendo stated that the delay is due to a desire to further improve the quality of the game.

This means that Nintendo's holiday offerings are going to be very slim for Wii U owners. Their titles include the critically panned Star Fox Zero, which came out earlier this week, Mario & Sonic at...

Nintendo NX to Launch March 2017, Not Shown at E3

During their earnings report earlier this morning, Nintendo announced that their upcoming Nintendo NX console will be launched in March 2017. Sadly, no actual details on the console were revealed during this report other than that it will be a "brand-new concept." Take that however you will.
"For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed "NX" with a brand-new concept. NX will be launched in March 2017 globally."

In a weird twist, it seems as though Nintendo will not be showing off the NX at this year's E3 show. Instead, the company's...

  • Superhot Coming May 3 to Xbox One

Superhot Coming May 3 to Xbox One

Superhot is already out on PC, but come May 3 it'll be time for the Xbox One to shine.
Blurring the lines between cautious strategy and unbridled mayhem, SUPERHOT is the FPS in which time moves only when you move.

No regenerating health bars. No conveniently placed ammo drops. It's just you, outnumbered and outgunned, grabbing the weapons of fallen enemies to shoot, slice, and maneuver through a hurricane of slow-motion bullets.

If you aren't yet sold on the game, perhaps a look back at our Superhot review will sway you....
