It seems as though there may have been a leak of some screenshots and concept art for a Life is Strange prequel. Yes, Dontnod announced already that they are working on a second season of Life is Strange with new characters, a new setting, and a new story. This prequel that is rumored isn't from them. It is instead apparently by Deck Nine.

If the name doesn't sound familiar to you, it may be because they used to be known as Idol Minds. Idol Minds worked on games like Pain (PS3), some of the Cool Boarders games for the PS1, and Ratchet: Deadlocked HD for the PS3. With the new name comes a new focus on creating "deep, interactive, great looking games."
“With the creation of our new, proprietary toolset StoryForge and the shift in studio focus, we are removing the shackles from our creative team and bringing together our two passions; meaningful storytelling and rich gameplay,” said Jeff Litchford, Vice President at Deck Nine. “We’ve invested heavily in our staff of incredibly talented developers and in creating some truly remarkable tools. Our game will be announced at E3 this year where you’ll be able to see our efforts for yourself.”

The announcement yesterday for Deck Nine also included an announcement that they had already partnered with a "leading AAA videogame publisher" and that they are "deep in development on their first title, a bran new addition to a critically acclaimed franchise." This game is set to be officially revealed at E3 2017.

Earlier this evening, the following images were leaked online, first brought to all of our attention by Gamekult. From the looks of things, it seems as though the story might focus on Chloe and Rachel.
