Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen summons the Arisen to the long-abandoned Northern region of Norgan, an entirely new in-game region where they must join forces with the enigmatic Eir and unravel the secrets of the undying Fallen Dragon. Throughout their journey, the Arisen must unearth and appraise forgotten relics to unlock powerful new weapons and abilities. The expansion also introduces 12 Lost Rites Dungeon Challenges. These freshly uncovered dungeons house trials designed by the Pathfinder to test the Arisen’s prowess and recover rare equipment once held by past Arisen that now lay dormant. Arisen looking to tailor their appearance will also gain access to a suite of new options added to the game’s versatile Character Creator, including new hairstyles and tattoos.
In anticipation of the Dark Arisen Expansion, Dragon’s Dogma 2 has received multiple free Title Updates to aid Arisen who have already begun their journey. The June 9th Title Update made fast travel more accessible with the addition of the reusable Eternal Ferrystone alongside other quality-of-life adjustments, and the September 1st Title Update introduced framerate improvements, extra save slots, and an expanded number of assignable weapon skills for combat. Arisen can get a head start on testing out the new customization options coming with the Dark Arisen Expansion by using the updated Dragon’s Dogma™ 2: Character Creation & Storage on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and now available on Nintendo Switch 2.
