Square Enix confirmed the rumor today by announcing there is indeed a prequel coming to Life is Strange. It's called Life is Strange: Before the Storm and will be a three episode series that releases starting August 31 on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Deck Nine Games is the studio behind this prequel. Dontnod is still working on a full sequel to the original game.
