Deathloop Out Now on Xbox, Major Content Update Out on All Platforms

It's a big day for Xbox players and fans of Deathloop in general.

Today is September 20, which means it's time for Deathloop to be released on Xbox Series X|S alongside Game Pass. Sure enough, that's exactly what happened today. Alongside today's Xbox premiere is the release of the major "GOLDENLOOP" update for all platforms (PS5, Series X|S, and PC).

As a quick refresher, the GOLDENLOOP update includes a new weapon, a new ability, new enemy types, an extended...

This makes for a perfect place for those looking for a traditional Enemy Territory experience to frequent.

To find the servers, look for ones named "id Software Official Vanilla Server - (REGION)."...

Old id and Bethesda Games Added to PC Game Pass

Five new Game Pass titles, or four if you ignore Battlespire.

QuakeCon 2022 began earlier today with a little welcome message from Marty Stratton. I'm sure it was great. I don't know, I didn't watch it. What I do know is that Bethesda and id Software added some classic PC titles to Game Pass today. These are in addition to three free games available now through the Microsoft Store, plus three "new" games available for sale through the Microsoft Store.

    As of earlier...

Modders are Already Working on a Starfield Patch

We all know the game will probably need this.

A group of mod makers are already coming together to begin work on a Starfield community patch. This patch aims to address the bugs in the game, despite the sci-fi RPG not coming out until the first half of 2023 at the earliest.

PCGamesN reports that early work on the Starfield Community Patch (aka: SCP) is underway and that it will be a "collective effort by mod authors and the wider player community of Starfield to fix...

    Official QuakeCon 2022 Schedule Announced

A lot of Bethesda games will be shown off, except Starfield.

Bethesda just shared their QuakeCon 2022 schedule with everyone today. There will be some Quake Pro League action, a lot of developer presentations, and plenty of Bethesda-related games shown off during the event. Before you get your hopes up too high, it seems like there won't be any Starfield presentations at QuakeCon this year.

Maybe we'll finally get a new Quake game announced that has been rumored to be...

Fallout 76 Returns to Pittsburgh in Next Major Content Update

I can personally vouch that the depiction of Pittsburgh in this game is exactly like the real city.

The Pitt was one of the expansions released for Fallout 3 back in 2009. It took players to the ruins of a little city called Pittsburgh located in the state of Pennsylvania. The developers at Bethesda must enjoy Pittsburgh a whole heck of a lot because we're going back there in Fallout 76.

This September, Fallout 76 will let players venture beyond the borders of Appalachia...

Starfield and Redfall Delayed Until 2023

    This is not completely unexpected.

Bethesda took to Twitter today to announce that both Starfield and Redfall have been delayed. The games will no longer launch within 2022 and are now expected to be released in the first half of 2023.

Redfall is the open-world, vampire-slaying, co-op game that is in development at Arkane Austin. We really haven't seen much about the game since it made its debut at E3 2021, even though it was supposed to be out some time this Summer....

The latest episode of "Into the Starfield," a behind the scenes series documenting the development of Starfield, just went live earlier today. The latest episode is entitled "The Sound of Adventure" and, as you can guess, it focuses on the audio that you will experience while adventuring through space.

This episode features Bethesda Game Studios audio director Mark Lampert and Starfield composer Inon Zur....

The event will again take place this August.

Like in 2020 and 2021, QuakeCon 2022 will again be a digital-only event. This year's event will run from August 18 - 20.

Bethesda says that while they are disappointed to not be able to return this year, they are still "working hard to put together exciting new streaming programming, online meetups, giveaways, charity opportunities, the virtual BYOC, and more." Bethesda to Retire Launcher and Move Everyone to Steam

That is at least one less launcher you'll have to install now.

Bethesda announced some sad news today for those that like to install a bunch of different game launchers on their computers. They will be retiring the Bethesda.net Launcher later this year.

I know, I know. I was gutted by this news as well.

Starting in April, Bethesda will have a system in place that will allow players to migrate their games, wallets, and in some cases, even their save games from...
