Cloud Imperium Games put up a Steam store page for Squadron 42, the cinematic, single-player sci-fi action game set in the Star Citizen universe. The Steam page for Squadron 42 allows fans to add the game to their Steam Wishlists ahead of the planned Q2 2027 release window.
This Steam release seems aimed at those who maybe haven't yet bought into the Star Citizen universe yet and are only looking for a sci-fi action title. I believe there was a time where a bunch of the available ship packs for Star Citizen also included access to Squadron 42 (once it was made available). Hell, even the $1 ship and game bundle I managed to snag back in 2014 included promised access to Squadron 42. I don't know if they still do that or not these days, so there's probably a whole bunch of people who want Squadron 42 that missed out on those earlier offers.
Anyway, Squadron 42 is a big space, sci-fi action-adventure game with an impressive cast of actors. Look for its release or a new delay announcement at some point in Q2 2027.
