Ubisoft Reveals Over 100 Uplay+ Launch Titles

Plus, try it free for one month.

Back at E3, Ubisoft announced that they would soon launch their own subscription service. This service that they're calling Uplay+ would function much like EA's Access and Origin Access programs in that you will be able to pay a monthly fee to gain access to an ever growing library of old and new titles from the publisher. Really, the only major differences that I can see here is the fact that Uplay+ may not include a discount on game purchases like EA has with their Access program.

Today, Ubisoft revealed their initial game offerings...

More Details About Google Stadia Revealed

    The rumors were true.

Google held their first ever Stadia Connect today in which they revealed some of the first concrete details about their new game streaming service. Stadia is set to let you stream games to any devices that can connect to a Chrome browser or through any device that supports a Chromecast. All of the heavy lifting is done at Google, meaning you do not need a high-end rig to play the latest and greatest. As it turns out, everything mentioned in the pre-Connect leak were true. The only minor differences concern small adjustments to the prices that were leaked as...

Watch Dogs 3 'Legion' Leak - London Setting, Play as Anybody ala 'MindJack'

Let's get these E3 2019 rumors starting off strong.

In 2011 a game was released wherein the main character could "hack" into
the minds of any other character and take control of them. The game was called MindJack (pictured above) and, in addition to the unique mind hacking, the game also featured a single-player story that could "transition seamlessly" into co-op. It wasn't all that well received.

Fast-forward to the present and a hot pre-E3 leak tells us that the idea behind MindJack may be very much alive and well in the year 2019. The third...

Ubisoft Delays Pirate Themed 'Skull & Bones' Until Mid-2020

Open world naval pirate game to skip E3 2019.

Ubisoft delivered some sad news today. Their open world pirate themed naval combat game, Skull & Bones, has been delayed until at least mid-2020. The team working on the game even delivered word today that they would be skipping E3 2019.

Skull & Bones was initially revealed way back at E3 2017. More footage was revealed at E3 2018 and it was still looking pretty good. Last year came the first delay which pushed it into the 2019-2020 fiscal year. Today, that date has been pushed back yet again to the 2020-2021 fiscal...

First Raid Added to The Division 2

Get ready for "Operation Dark Hours."

Today, Ubisoft released the "Operation Dark Hours" update for Tom Clancy's The Division 2. This update will also include the first 8-player raid for the game, which just happens to be given the same name as the name of the update. Must just be one big coincidence.

The raid itself doesn't unlock until May 16 at 12PM (ET). The update itself is live now.

Today's update for the game also includes the new "Classified Assignments" feature. These are exclusive missions for those that own the Year...

  • New Splinter Cell Game Confirmed by Ubisoft Creative Director (Update: Only a 'joke')

That sure is one way to announce a game, I suppose.

Update: Ubisoft issued a statement after this apparent earlier "confirmation" by Gerighty.

Ah, so it was a "joke." Ha...

    ... ha?

If you still somehow doubt it, Jason Schreier also confirmed that it was just a joke.

Original: Julian Gerighty is a Creative Director at Ubisoft that has helped to create and bring games like The Division 2 and the Splinter Cell games to the world. He also just, uh, kind of announced that they're working on a new Splinter...

Next Ghost Recon Game Name Possibly Leaked

Read this for spoilers, or just wait until the actual reveal tomorrow.

Ubisoft may have accidentally leaked the name of their next Ghost Recon game ahead of tomorrow's reveal. The name? Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The following image was caught by Reddit user jrmywl30. They say that it appeared first on the Ghost Recon sub-Reddit and was quickly pulled.

The image shows a "Wolves Collector's Edition" for Ghost Recon Breakpoint. It's suggested that the game will be a direct sequel to Ghost Recon Wildlands. Does Wildlands need a sequel? Maybe. I'm not entirely sure...

New 'Ghost Recon' Related Announcement Teased for May 9

A new Ghost Recon related announcement has been teased for May 9.

If you haven't been keeping up with all things Ghost Recon related, you may have missed an ARG type site that was teased recently. A link to Skelltechnology.com suggests that a reveal is coming May 9 at 11:30AM (PT) for something.

But what? What could it ever be for? Well, Skell Technology is a company referenced in both Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six. It's very much pointing towards a Tom Clancy reveal. But that still probably leaves the door open for, say, a new Splinter Cell announcement, right? Well,...

  • Assassin's Creed Unity is Free Following Recent Fire at the Notre-Dame de Paris

Ubisoft is giving away Assassin's Creed Unity for free via Uplay. This free game will be available only for a limited time, so be sure to grab it while you can. If you pick up the game prior to April 25 at 3AM (ET), then you will be able to keep Assassin's Creed Unity forever without having to pay a dime.

This move by Ubisoft is being done in response to the recent fire at the Notre-Dame de Paris. As Unity takes place in Paris, it is actually possible to go "visit" Notre Dame within the game. As I understand it, the in-game recreation of the building is actually...

    The Division 2 Launch Trailer

With Tom Clancy's The Division 2 coming out in just 10 days (March 15, 2019), it seems like a wholly appropriate time for a launch trailer. On March 15th, The Division 2 will take PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players to our nation's capital, Washington, D.C.

You can pick up The Division 2 for the PC from either the Epic Games Store (affiliate link) or from the Ubisoft Store. As it stands, The Division 2 is sadly not available through Steam. ...

This is a nice little thing that Ubisoft is doing for The Division 2 pre-orders. If you pre-order the PC version of the game, you can get one of three free games at no extra charge. Yes, saying "free game at no extra charge" is redundant.

The games being offered are Watch Dogs 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Far Cry Primal. Here are the details about this deal. ...

All versions include higher resolution textures, a new graphics engine, and other graphical improvements. They event improved some gameplay mechanics in this release.

  • Far Cry New Dawn - New Trailer, Crafting Details, and More Gameplay Details Revealed

A bunch of new details came out today from Ubisoft for the upcoming Far Cry New Dawn. This not-quite-a-full-fledged-follow-up to Far Cry 5 is on track for release on February 15 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Far Cry New Dawn takes place 17 years after the rather apocalyptic ending of Far Cry 5. Hope County is once again the main area that you will play in, but it's a Hope County that has been taken over by a lot of colorful wildlife, a group of scavengers called the Highwaymen, and plenty of ruins to fight through. You play as a man named Thomas Rush, a "captain...
