    The Division 2 Launch Trailer

With Tom Clancy's The Division 2 coming out in just 10 days (March 15, 2019), it seems like a wholly appropriate time for a launch trailer. On March 15th, The Division 2 will take PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players to our nation's capital, Washington, D.C.

You can pick up The Division 2 for the PC from either the Epic Games Store (affiliate link) or from the Ubisoft Store. As it stands, The Division 2 is sadly not available through Steam. ...

Pre-order The Division 2 and Get a Free Game from Ubisoft

This is a nice little thing that Ubisoft is doing for The Division 2 pre-orders. If you pre-order the PC version of the game, you can get one of three free games at no extra charge. Yes, saying "free game at no extra charge" is redundant.

The games being offered are Watch Dogs 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Far Cry Primal. Here are the details about this deal. ...

  • Far Cry New Dawn - New Trailer, Crafting Details, and More Gameplay Details Revealed

A bunch of new details came out today from Ubisoft for the upcoming Far Cry New Dawn. This not-quite-a-full-fledged-follow-up to Far Cry 5 is on track for release on February 15 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Far Cry New Dawn takes place 17 years after the rather apocalyptic ending of Far Cry 5. Hope County is once again the main area that you will play in, but it's a Hope County that has been taken over by a lot of colorful wildlife, a group of scavengers called the Highwaymen, and plenty of ruins to fight through. You play as a man named Thomas Rush, a "captain...

The Division 2 - New Story Trailer and Dark Zone PvP Reveal

There was some new information dumped today from Ubisoft for their upcoming action title, Tom Clancy's The Division 2. As part of this new information, we learn that the game will feature not one but three separate Dark Zone areas where players can get their PvPvE fix.

In the first game, the Dark Zone was a single area with multiple difficulty zones. It sliced the game into two separate areas and has been home to all sorts of door camping jerks looking to ruin your day. In The Division 2, there will now be a Dark Zone East, a Dark Zone South, and a Dark Zone West. Each of...

Tencent Acquires 36% Ownership in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Developer Fatshark

Fatshark, the development studio behind Warhammer: Vermintide 2 now has a new investor and it's none other than Tencent. That's right, the very same Tencent that seems to have their investment filled hands in what feels like everything, including Epic Games (40%) and Ubisoft (5%). They also have a majority ownership of Riot Games and Supercell. Of course, this is all just the tip of the iceberg for the tech giant.

According to the Swedish website DI Digital, Tencent paid around $56 million (SEK 500 million) in exchange for a 36% ownership stake in Fatshark. This places Tencent...

The Division 2 Skipping Steam in Favor of Epic Games Store

Ubisoft has made the decision to skip Steam for The Division 2, instead opting to sell it on the Epic Games Store. It won't be fully exclusive to the Epic Games Store on the PC as Ubisoft will also sell the game through their own storefront and game client, Uplay.

A representative for Ubisoft says that they "have no plans currently on releasing Tom Clancy's The Division 2 on Steam." This move comes after The Division 2 was up on the Steam storefront for months prior.

This won't be the only title from Ubisoft to be exclusive to the Epic Games Store. Ubisoft...

Far Cry New Dawn Hopes to Deliver Post-Apocalyptic Thrills

Let me preface this news post to say that if you haven't yet beaten Far Cry 5 and are planning on still doing so, don't read this. I'm serious. This game is literally a direct follow-up to the events that took place in Far Cry 5. Don't say I didn't warn you though.

Last night during The Game Awards, Ubisoft announced Far Cry New Dawn, a standalone sequel to Far Cry 5. It once again takes place in Hope County but 17 years following the rather unexpected and explosive ending to Far Cry 5. Ubisoft says that there are not one, but two main villains that you will have to contend with when Far Cry New Dawn drops on February 15, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Ubisoft to Revert Aesthetic Changes in Rainbow Six Siege

The latest Rainbow Six Siege developer blog starts out by addressing the elephant in the room: The aesthetic changes that many decried as "censorship" in order to have one universal version of the game across all regions.

Turns out that review bombing a game can lead to results, because Ubisoft says that they will move forward with reverting these changes and other planned changes.
We have spent the last week working on solutions and have decided that we will be reverting all aesthetic changes.

WHEN ARE THESE CHANGES BEING REVERTED IN THE INTERNATIONAL VERSION? We will begin reverting these changes alongside the launch of Wi

Jade Raymond Leaving EA After Just 3 Years

Jade Raymond is parting ways with EA and the EA Motive studio that she helped to found. Taking up the reigns as studio lead will be Samantha Ryan. Ryan already leads EA Mobile, Maxis, and a BioWare studio.

EA Motive was initially founded in 2015 after Raymond left Ubisoft. The first project for the studio was working with Amy Hennig on the now cancelled Star Wars title from the now closed Visceral Games. EA Motive at least got to put some of that work to use in helping out with Star Wars: Battlefront II. The studio then moved on to working on a new IP alongside BioWare. Despite Raymond's departure, EA remains committed to keeping ...

  • No New Assassin's Creed Game Planned for 2019 as Ubisoft Plans Long-Term Support for Odyssey

According to Yves Guillemot, as quoted by GameSpot, there will not be a new Assassin's Creed game coming in 2019.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot delivered this news earlier at Gamescom.
"On Assassin's, we had a game [in 2018] and we have one this year, but we are not going to have a full-fledged Assassin's next year. It's just because the team were working separately, so we have two games now, one year after the other. But next year you're not going to have a fully fledged one.
Well, that just means that they're going to release a smaller Assassin's Creed game, right? Maybe they'll do some sort of a spin-off? They've done it before so i...

First Reworked Rainbow Six: Siege Map Revealed for Season 3

Ubisoft has revealed the first map that will get the rework treatment for the third season of Rainbow Six: Siege. The third year and third season of the game, dubbed Operation Grim Sky, will see Hereford Base get a facelift. The map has been in the game since the beta a few years back. Not much is really known about what exactly the Rainbow Six: Siege team at Ubisoft is doing, but we do know that it will feature a new look and a new layout. However, it will still feel "familiar" to returning players. In addition to this rework of Hereford Base, players can look forward to two new Operators. The first is a Defender from Great Britain, while th...
