EA just informed us that the entirety of the Madden NFL franchise has surpassed 130 million units sold. The first Madden game was called John Madden Football and it was originally released on MS-DOS. Most current players probably have no idea what in the world DOS even is.

Since then it has come out on platforms such as the Genesis, SNES, Windows, every PlayStation platform, Xbox consoles, and more. Even the Madden NFL games have managed to achieve almost 73 million installs over the years. There's even a new mobile game, Madden NFL Overdrive, coming out on August 15.

Right now, the sales figures aren't in just yet for the newly released Madden NFL 19, but the 130 million sales figure does include the early sales of this year's offering.
