Nvidia just released its new lineup of RTX Spark laptops. These laptops combine RTX graphics processing with "the full Nvidia AI stack" and up to 128GB of unified memory.
These devices seem to be aimed mainly at those who want to run AI models locally. They are also effective in boosting actual productivity programs and supporting various AAA games.
Nvidia is still in the process of adding support for online multiplayer games on these RTX Spark laptops. The major hurdle, once again, is due to the anti-cheat software that many of these games use. Some games, such as Marvel's Rivals, are already supported.
Nvidia says that the RTX Spark laptops start at $2,599 from brands such as ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI. It's actually a little difficult to find dedicated pages for the RTX Spark laptops on many of the brands' websites. However, looking at Newegg, it shows the entry-level MSI Prestige RTX Spark laptop at $3,299, but it comes with only 32GB of unified memory. Those who are serious about running AI models will probably want to go for the devices that come with more memory. For MSI, this means going for the 64GB model at $4,099, or the 128GB model that comes in at an eye-watering price of $6,899.
There’s plenty to put that performance to work:
- Put local agents to work on tasks such as drafting, summarizing and coding with Hermes, OpenClaw and Perplexity, alongside NVIDIA’s new Nemotron 3.5 Bolt model for supported configurations. NVIDIA PAIR extends local AI across compatible computers on a home network.
- NVIDIA Broadcast 2.3 adds tools for live and recorded content, while new RTX Video capabilities in ComfyUI help creators produce smoother HDR video. Adobe is rolling out RTX Spark optimizations across its creative apps, beginning with Photoshop and Premiere beta releases, and Blender adds support through its beta release.
- Native CUDA support, developer tools readied with Microsoft and new NVIDIA Skills help developers build locally, with a path to deploy to the cloud.
- Get gaming. Hundreds of supported titles bring RTX gaming to the same laptop. The faster DLSS 5 AI model arrives today, alongside this week’s NVIDIA App beta updates.
