We do like our announcements of announcements here.
Text: Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

It may have started out a little bit rough, but Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way since its release in 2020. At least, that's what I hear. I haven't gone back to replay the game just yet but I hear it's in a pretty good spot right now.

We already know that CD Projekt Red is busy working on a major story expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. This expansion, named Phantom Liberty was announced as being in development back in September 2022. It was during this announcement that CD Projekt Red said that they were targeting a release for some time in 2023. It was announced for next-gen platforms including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Stadia. I have a feeling that the release for at least one of those platforms was canned though.

As it is now about three full months into 2023, that previously announced release window for Phantom Liberty is shrinking more and more. The good news is that CD Projekt Red says that they have some fresh news to share about Phantom Liberty in June. Yessir, CD Projekt Red announced a future announcement.

Just a little reminder here that the Phantom Liberty expansion will not be free. I cannot remember if we posted the second trailer for Phantom Liberty here or not, so here it is (again?). This one was shared a few months back during The Game Awards 2022.
