Unreal Engine 5 Announced for Next-gen Platforms

Don't expect any games any time soon though.

"Nanite" and "Lumen" are going to be the new buzzwords for the next few years. Those two terms were the highlight of today's reveal for the Unreal Engine 5. The engine, still very early in development at Epic, won't be released to the public until late 2021. An early preview will be made available to some in early 2021. This engine is being built to support current-generation consoles, next-generation consoles, PC, Mac,...

Just a Reminder that Elder Scrolls VI Details are Still Many Years Away

    In case that wasn't obvious.

Bethesda's Pete Hines confirmed again this weekend that any details for The Elder Scrolls VI are still many years away. This was completely expected after Bethesda's first reveal from E3 2018 that said it was coming after Starfield. As Starfield is also still quite a ways away, this should come as no surprise to anybody.

Starfield itself was only briefly discussed back at E3 2018. We did not know much about the game then. In fact, we know about...

It's also coming to current-gen consoles but that isn't nearly as attention grabbing.

The game is called Scarlet Nexus and it's set to be a multi-gen title from the makers of the Tales Of... series of games. As the headline clearly indicates, the game is headed to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. However, it's also headed to the PlayStation 4 and the...

    PlayStation 5 System Specs Revealed

We finally have the full next-gen picture.

As Sony's Mark Cerny wraps up his promised PlayStation 5 deep dive, the specs and other details for the PlayStation 5 have been released. So far, we know that the PlayStation 5 will be backwards compatible with most PlayStation 4 titles. Cerny seems to have stopped short of saying it will be backwards compatible with other generations, which is unfortunate.

We also learned today that Sony is putting a lot of effort into their...

Rumor: Sony Working on Silent Hills and Silent Hill Series Reboot

    Here we go again.

Time and time again we see a new rumor surface that Konami is working on a new Silent Hill game. It's a rumor that, like many rumors about old and beloved franchises, just doesn't want to ever die. So let's just get on with it.

The latest rumor comes from Rely On Horror (site is getting hammered as of this posting). They say that at least two different sources have told them that not only is Silent Hill coming back, but it's coming back thanks to Sony....

CD Projekt RED Entices Xbox One Owners with a Free Cyberpunk Upgrade

How does a free upgrade to next-gen sound?

On February 24, 2020, Microsoft outlined some of their features and plans for their next-generation Xbox. That platform, currently online known as the Xbox Series X, will have a very welcome feature that has, so far, not been announced by other platforms yet.

Square Enix Delays Outriders as New Platforms Added

    Good news, bad news time.

Square Enix revealed that Outriders will be pushed back until a Holiday 2020 release window. However, alongside this unfortunate delay news comes word that the People Can Fly developed title is also working on PlayStation 5 and Xbox releases. Yes, that would be an Xbox Series X (Xbox SeX) announcement there, not an Xbox One, and not an OG Xbox. I'm already sick of this console's name.

But it's also coming out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One...

PlayStation is Officially Ditching E3 2020

A surprise move with the PlayStation 5 mere months away from release.

For the second year in a row, Sony and their PlayStation lineup will be a no-show at, what used to be, one of the largest industry events of the year.

Sony has been present at every previous E3 up until 2019. They have...

PS5 Logo Reveal Broke 'Like' Record on Instagram

Sony somehow won CES just by showing a logo.

Just two days ago, Sony wowed the world by revealing the logo for the PlayStation 5 during their presentation at CES 2020. Today, that life changing logo is now also (apparently) a record breaker. Well, it broke a record on Instagram at least. Maybe.

According to VGC, Sony's PS5 logo image pulled in roughly 5.1 million likes and 136,000 comments in the span of less than 48 hours. This apparently now makes it the most "liked"...
